Getting to know one another

Another few days had passed and Sesshomaru had fought countless demons. One resulting in a injury to his hip and abdomen. He lay bored on a tree as you applied a wet cloth to the bleeding area.

He hissed as the cold fabric caused a stinging sensation. "Do you have to be so rough?" He snarled.

You rolled your eyes, "stop being a puppy and put up with it." Usually he would have healed but the toxin in this demons bite ate away at that ability.

So he had to heal like everyone else.

He chewed his lip seeming to think, "this could be where we tell things about ourselves."

You nodded in agreement.

"Alright who will go first?"

Sesshomaru sat up more even at your scolding, "I will."

You waited.

"Since you asked me, how old are you?"

"16."

"So we can't do it further down the track..." he mumbled.

"What?"

"Nevermind."

"Hmm alright, how did you meet Rin?"

You both looked at her as she annoyed Jaken, "when I was hurt she gave me food when I couldn't get any myself."

"So she looked after you?"

"Yes."

"How cute!"

"She officially joined us though when I brought her back to life with Tenseiga after she was attacked by wolves."

Your face dropped at the thought that Rin had died once. "Wow...I guess you are a softie."

He grinned, reaching out to place his palm on your cheek, "only for those who are beautiful in nature."

The colour of a tomato painted your nose and cheeks. He chuckled, "I wonder if you go that red in be- OW!"

You roughly re-applied the wet cloth on his tender wound. He glared at you.

"Maybe watch your mouth and I won't do that!"

He huffed, you asked a question this time of which he growled at you. "Are you a sex crazed dog 24/7 or can you be a gentleman?"

"I was making a joke...woman."

You laughed darkly, "using that tone with me are you? You seem to be forgetting I'm not the injured one here."

That sentence terrified him, "s-sorry." You were used to his remarks and intimidating voice.

He slumped back down to a laying position, "I have a question for you now, how do you feel about sex?"

God damn that was a very straightforward question.

"Well um...I'm a bit sensitive about it I uh...had a bad experience."

His glare darkened, "you've already done it?"

You raised your hands and waved them nervously, "no, no! Its just a guy did something...without my consent or even really knowing me."

His eyes softened and his voice sounded like that of waves. Crashing back and forth gently along the sand. It comforted the anxiety beginning to churn in your gut. "I gather it is a very  traumatic memory?"

You nodded, blinking away tears that threatened to fall. You inhaled than exhaled, "if you would listen I would like to tell you."

He smiled meaning for you to tell your story. So you did explain everything in grave detail. He took note of your paled complexion, shaking hands and whitened knuckles from gripping your fingers too hard.

He intertwined his fingers with your own when your voice began to tremble. You gave a nervous smile.

After you had done telling him he only looked at you. "Sesshomaru?"

"I hope to never meet this boy."

"Well I don't think you will and why?"

He cracked his claws, "because I'll have to teach him what respect is."

"Oh...thank you."

Your heart was quickening in pace, beating loudly in your chest. You clutched the place where it beat rapidly. Hoping he didn't hear it which to your horror he did.

"I can hear the rhythm of your heart rate."

You averted your gaze.

His grip on your free hand tightened his expression was weird. Brow creased and lips pursed like he wanted to say something.

"Do you have something to say?"

"(Y/n)...do you..."

"Yes?"

His gold pupils intently stared into you (e/c) ones.

"Do you love me?"

It felt as if the whole world had stopped. A long moment of silence passed.

"W-what??"

"Do you love me?"

You became flustered, "how can you  except me to answer that?!"

His eyes flickered to the sunny sky, "I thought that by now-"

"We haven't known each other more then a week!"

Rin and Jaken now had their attention on you both. You freaked conscious of Jaken and Rin staring at you. A sigh escaped you.

"J-just give me more time.."

"How much?"

"I don't know! I guess 4 weeks."

He sighed too, "4 weeks?"

"You basically kidnapped me and layed this all on me in one second of knowing you."

Rin giggled, "she's right Lord Sesshomaru."

The dog just closed his lids, "I'm going to sleep now."

"But it's like early afternoon."

He shrugged his shoulders and began to sleep. You groaned annoyed and attacked him with the cloth. Although much harder then you expected. He sung a chorus of howls.

"Heh sorry."

Inuyashas ears twitched as his brothers howl of pain echoed throughout the forest. "Was that my brother?"

Kagome blinked surprised, "what is she doing to him?"
