As the muscles in his arm swung the sliding door open. His eyes briefly met the ghosts, before they landed back on you and the fire surrounding the man jumped at you. Sesshomaru rushed to block the smoldering blaze but was pushed back by a strong wind.
He watched on as the fire burnt your skin. Your horrific screams of pain entering his ears and forever imprinting on his brain. "SESSHOMARU! HELP ME PLEASE IT HURTS!"
He cracked as you turned, skin melting away from the bone. A face he had once loved, once recognised was half gone away from the skull.
The pungent smell of rotting flesh already filling the air along with smoke.
He fell to the floor as the flesh left on your lifeless corpse was sunken and charred. Blackened and slowly turning to ash.
His eyes were widened and his heart beat was ringing in his ears. His breathing was short as he just stared at...at the corpse...at you.
The sight of his lover was disgusting and terrifying to look at. He had to avert his gaze as the food he'd eaten earlier threatened to come up. Your head was just a simple with no eyes, no lips, no brain. No organs at all.
The ghost spoke, " The fire that she endured was hellfire...I'm so sorry."
His gaze was feral as a dark growl tore from his throat. Rounding on the ghost as anger blinded him, tears glistening in the corner of his sockets.
"You bastard!" His claw went straight through the spirit, hitting the floorboards beneath as they shattered under his strength.
"You cannot hurt me I'm a ghost."
Yet again and again Sesshomaru attacked him. Only destroying his home and the objects in it.
"Why?! WHY?!"
The fat man answered as the dog demon slumped to his knees. Droplets of water trickling on the floor.
"If you mean why we-I-did it now and not earlier...that is because I wanted for you and miss (Y/n) to experience a bit of happiness, love and life itself. I'm sorry no force could prevent this from happening."
His voice came out hoarse as he spoke through the years and his fury. "She was mother...A MOTHER GODAMMIT! You've taken her away from our children!"
Though he looked up he didn't dare meet your charred corpse. The spirit could now see the tears flowing heavily from the dogs eyes. His teeth gritted together, mouth contorted into a scowl.
The ghost started to fade, "I'm sorry I could not buy you more time, one can only cheat death so many times."
"You've made it worse...your hurting children...you aren't sorry."
Like fireflies his body dispersed, "If you were in my position you'd understand."
Sesshomaru let loose an enraged growl, "there's nothing to understand you killed my family!" He swiped at the man but he was gone. Instead his claws got the flute he'd bought for your birthday.
The flute snapped in half like a twig, his hands shook at what he'd done. "No...No...NO!"
His ears picked up the sound of voices, Rin and his children. "Sesshomaru? Are you here?"
No...he couldn't let anyone see you like this. He didn't want them to remember you like this, he didn't want you to be remembered as just another dead body.
Rin peeked her head around the open door. Sesshomaru shielded her vision and slammed the door shut.
"Wha-Sesshomaru!"
"Don't...look in there."
She swiped his arm away, "why?"
He couldn't speak, his throat closed up at the thought of you gone. Rin noticed the dried tears coating his cheeks.
Her gut churned as she stared at the closed sliding door. The smell of death hung in the air she didn't need to be a demon to know what it was.

Everyone was aware of your death and like a storm. Tears spilled from everyone. He held back his own sadness as he comforted Fenris and Mizuki.
Their shoulders shook and sobs erupted from them. His nails dug into their robes as the two hugged him tighter.
Mizuki squeaked out, "why can't we see mummy?"
His brain searched for an answer, for anything. The image of your ashen body came swooping in.

He was brought back to reality by the sniffles of his daughter. Her golden pupils searched for anything on his face.
Luckily Kagome gave her a reply, "s-sweetie she isn't at her best at the moment."
"But mum's dead."
Kagome burst into tears at the mention of it. Causing Mizuki too as well.
Inuyasha glanced at his brother while holding a blubbering Kagome in his arms. Inuyasha gave him a nod of which Sesshomaru returned.
