Audrey's POV
"AH." I scream when someone taps on the glass of my drivers-side window.
Once I've collected myself I look out the window and see Ash dying of laughter so I grab my stuff then get out my car.
"I'm so sorry." Ash says while laughing then she hugs me. "But that was funny as fuck."
"Meanie." I say and playfully pout.
"Come on you two." Ali says. "We gotta game to play."
Today's the first match day of the NWSL season and we're playing Chicago.
"Fine." I playfully groan then I lock my car and follow Krashlyn into Exploria Stadium.
Once inside the stadium we head to the locker room, but when we get to the locker room I keep walking until I reach the pitch then I take my first look at our home stadium for a couple minutes before I head back to the locker room.
When I get to the locker room I head to my locker then take off my necklaces, earrings, and nose ring before I start to change I then change into my warm up shirt, game shorts, my socks and my rainbow and white boots.
"Happy birthday Munchkin." Ash says and kisses my head.
"Thanks Ashy." I say.
"You're 22 today?" Ali questions and I nod. "God I'm old."
"I mean you still look 22." I say and shrug.
"This is why I love you." Ali says and hugs me.
Sydney hugs me as well then I walk to the exit of the locker room and look at the line up

After I check the line up I head out to the pitch with the rest of the team. When I get on the pitch I run through my warm ups with the starters for a while then head back to the locker room. Once in the locker room I change out of the training top and change into our Purple jersey. After I'm dressed I wait around in my locker as the coaching staff do their last minute talks then the starters and I head to the tunnel and I line up behind Ash.
A minute later we walk out onto the pitch, stand for a bit, shake hands with the Red Stars, then I head to the center circle to do the kick off.
A moment later the ref blows her whistle so I kickoff the game.
In the first twenty or so minutes of the game neither team gets any good opportunities so the games a bit boring.
In the 23rd minute Chicago get a corner so I wait in my area for a minute then Tierna crosses the ball into the box. Shelina heads the ball over my head so I spin around and see the ball dropping right to Moe. I run towards Moe to put pressure on her, but before I can get there she volleys the ball towards goal.
Unluckily for me the ball rockets straight into my...area, which causes me to go down in a heap.
"AUDREY." Moe yells as someone blows a whistle while I try to catch my breath.
"Holy fuck." I say then I roll over and face the sky.
"Munchkin are you okay?" Ash asks.
"I'm so glad I wore my cup." I admit then I look at Moe. "Nice connection Moe Moe."
"Oh it hit you there." Ali says.
"Yeah." I say then sit up.
I catch my breath for a few seconds then I get to my feet and stand over the free kick.
