Audrey's POV

"WHERE THE FUCK IS AUDREY?" I hear Coach Joe's annoying ass voice yell as I walk into the locker room minutes before game time.

"I'm right here asshole." I say as I get to my locker. "Don't get your panties in a wad."

"Where the hell have you been?" Joe angrily asks.

I slowly turn around and ball my fist as everyone gets quite.

"My Mom had surgery yesterday." I say then I unball my fist. "I was on the phone with her girlfriend talking about her condition so excuse me for being late."

"Who cares?" Joe says. "You should've been here on time."

"Excuse me?" Kim asks as I grab a soccer ball.

I drop the soccer ball in front of me then boot it right at Joe's face.

"HEY." Joe shouts as he barley dodges the ball.

"CLARE." I shout when I see the Arsenal women's team GM walk past the dressing room. 

"Yes" Clare Wheatley says.

"Either you transfer me or you sack Joe, but I will not play for this club while he's in charge." I say. "I'm done with his bullshit."

"What's going on?" Clare asks.

Kim sighs then she explains everything to Clare.

"We'll deal with this later." Clare says as I get ready for the game.

After I'm dressed I wait around in my locker as the coaching staff do their last minute talks then the starters and I head to the tunnel and I line up behind Tierna.

When the ref tells us to we head onto the field then stand in line for the anthems. After the anthems we shake hands with the Lyon players then we shake hands with the refs.

While shaking hands all of my national team teammates and former club teammates hug me

After we finish shaking hands we take our starting XI line up photo.

"Sit Balto." I say to my dog, who's wearing Daan's jersey.

Balto does as told and sits down next to Alex while I stand behind him for the picture.

Once the picture is taken,  Balto and I head to the team huddle.

After the team huddle I lead Balto to the bench.

"Alright Balto." I say as we get to the end of the bench. "You stay here okay?"

Balto barks at me so I pet him one more time before I head onto the field and get ready for the kick off.

Once everyone is set the ref blows her whistle then Lyon kick off the game.

In the 13th minute Alex Greenwood tries to play a long ball over the top to my half sister Ada, but it gets cut out by Jordan. Daan then passes to my girlfriend while I look for space behind the Lyon back line. When I do see some space I start moving towards it while looking back at Daan. Daan see's my run so she launches the ball ahead of me so I take off into the free space.

When I get to the edge of the 18 yard box the ball drops in front of me so I blast the ball on the volley past the Lyon keeper putting us up 1-0.

As the team run towards me I kiss the tattoo of my Mom's name on my wrist then I hug my girlfriend when she gets to me.

"That's that love connection." Katie teases as she joins the hug

Once we're done hugging I jog by the bench and flip off Joe.
