Audrey's POV

"Who are we playing?" I mumble as we walk to the locker room.

"China, Audrey." Moe says and chuckles. "We're playing China."

Today's our first group game of the Olympics and I guess we're playing China.

"Oh....cool"

When I get to the locker room I head to my locker then take off my necklaces, earrings, and nose ring before I start to change I then change into my warm up shirt, game shorts, my socks and my rainbow and white boots.

After I finish dressing for warm ups I head out to the pitch with the rest of the team. Once in the locker room I change out of the training top and change into our white jersey. After I'm dressed I wait around in my locker as the coaching staff do their last minute talks then us subs head to the bench. The Subs and I stand around while the prematch stuff goes on then we sit down after the anthems.

"Fucking bullshit." I mumble as I sit down at the end of the bench in-between Ash and Christen.

"What is?" Christen asks as the game starts.

"You and I have started every game before today and now because Alex and Pinoe are 'healthy' we have to sit on the bench." I say. "I mean at least you should be starting instead of Pinoe."

"What can you do?" Christen says and shrugs

The first half of the game isn't entertaining at all so once Halftime comes we all head to the locker room and listen to the coaches talk tactics. Once halftime is over the subs and I head down to warm up while the second half plays on.

"SOLO...PRESS" Vlatko yells and I look down towards him.

The Macedonian motions me towards him so Christen and I jog to him.

While we're jogging I look up at the scoreboard and see the score is 0-0 in the 58th minute.

"Yes Coach?" Christen says.

"Christen you're going in for Alex and Audrey you're going in for Pinoe." Vlatko says.

Christen and I nod and take of our penny's then we take the substitution cards to the fourth official. My fellow forward and I then go stand by the fourth official and wait for the ball to go out of play. Once the ball does go out of play Alex and Megan leave the field on the far side since they're close to it so Christen and I head onto the field and head to our positions then the game resumes.

In the 77th minute One of the Chinese midfielders plays a pass back from our half of the field to an unsuspecting defender who's standing around midfield. I notice the defender not paying attention so I run in front of her, intercept the ball, then sprint upfield. A different Chinese defender runs in front of me then she tracks back as I run up field.

Out of the corner of my eye I see a flash of white running forward so I cross the ball into the box then watch as Christen heads the ball into the net, putting us 1-0 up.

After the ball hits the net I run over and hug Christen before I head up field to restart the game which happens a minute later.

In the 86th minute we have a goal kick so Alyssa plays the ball to Crystal who then turns and jogs upfield. One of the Chinese women pressure Crystal so she passes to Moe. Moe then crosses the ball over to Tobin so Christen and I run towards the goal. When Tobin gets the ball she runs towards the endline so I run towards the far post while Christen heads towards front post.

As I cross into the 18 yard box Tobin crosses the ball over Christen and right to me so I volley the ball into the near post giving us a 2-0 lead.

When the ball hits the net I kiss the tattoo of my Mom's name on my wrist then I hug the rest of the team before we head back upfield for the restart.

The last remaining 4 or so minutes of the game go bye quickly and the final whistle blows I shake hands with the Chinese ladies then we do our team huddle on the field. After our team huddle we all walk around the stadium to sign stuff and take pictures. When I reach the friends and family section I head straight for my Mom and hug her.

"Hi Mama." I say.

"Hi babygirl." Mom says then she kisses my head. "Nice goal."

"Thanks." I say.

My Mom and I talk for a while until Kelley comes up to talk to my Mom.

I decided to give the couple some privacy so I leave and say hello to some of the other girls' families.

"Enjoy your time on the bench today?" Lindsey's boy toy, or boyfriend, or whatever the fuck he is, says.

"Shut the fuck up." I say and look at the prick. "Your old ass shouldn't even be here. You should be back at home with someone you didn't have to wait to date until she was 18."

"Well then." Sonnett says from behind me as I keep looking at the old man dating Lindsey.

"You need to learn when to speak and when to shut the fuck up. I'm the one playing and scoring in the Olympics. You were so shit you now coach young girls soccer."

"You're just gonna let her talk to me like that?" The dude asks and looks at Lindsey.

"I mean you can be a bit of an ass sometimes." Lindsey says.

"Why you little..."

"Shut yo little dick havin ass up." I say.

I then walk over to Lindsey and pick her up bridal style then I look at the midfielders boyfriend.

"Now suck a dick cuz I just took yo chick." I say then I walk off with Lindsey towards the locker room.

When we get to the locker room I look down at Lindsey.

"I would say sorry, but I'm not." I say then I set Lindsey down.

"What happened?" Alex asks.

"Russell made a dumbass comment to Audrey then Audrey shut him down." Lindsey says.

"No offense Lindsey, but I don't know what you see in him." Rose say.

"Most days I don't either." Lindsey says then she looks at me. "I'll deal with him later."

"Cool." I say then I take my shirt off. "DIBS FIRST SHOWER."
