The streets weren't too crowded, but there were enough people to accidentally bump shoulders with passerby's. It was becoming late afternoon and the two had become tired of shopping, as they already had multiple bags on their arms from their purchases.

They meandered their way back to where their parked car was to end their journey. Except they didn't get too far, as the sound of singing stopped them. The two look at each other and make a silent agreement to check it out quickly.

Busking was pretty popular around this area and a lot of them held so much talent it was unknown how they weren't recognized more for their skill.

Kevin thought about how him and his friend, growing up, would sing duets and Kevin would play his piano. They gathered pretty big crowds.

He smiled thinking about the past. The two had parted ways and they hadn't talked in years.

They drew closer to the singer, who's voice was light and feathery, almost angelic sounding. It was a male's voice and it was accompanied by the sound of a guitar. Kevin was getting excited because the voice sounded so beautiful.

When they found the source of the singer, there was a large crowd around him, but Kevin could make out the features easily.

Jacob.

He smiled brightly as he pushed to the front of the crowd, Eric barely being able to keep up. His excitement rose as he listened to the beautiful melody.

Jacob had his eyes closed, feeling the performance soulfully. He sang with his heart and passion. The symphony reached the ears of the audience and caught the attention of more bystanders, but Jacob was oblivious at the moment, only focusing on the music.

As soon as he ended the song, he slowly opens his eyes and a wide smile grows on his face as he realizes the crowd forming. He's about to speak, but his eyes catch a certain pair, front and center. He's here. He came to listen.

The smile grew even more as he kept eye contact.

"Thank you, everyone. My name is Jacob and if you enjoyed my performance, please check out my social medias!"

He begins to pack up his guitar, as the crowd disperses. Except, two people decide to stay behind.

"Jacob, that was incredible. You are incredible."

"Yeah, you're really talented."

The performer's face heats up at the mention of the compliments.

"Thank you. I appreciate the kind words. It's good to see you, Kevin, you too, Eric."

"It's really good to see you again. It's been awhile," Kevin responds.

"I'll let you two talk. I'm going to check out that store real quick." Eric walks away, leaving the two alone, as Jacob packs up his belongings.

"We really should exchange numbers," Kevin chuckles.

"I agree, I'm tired of seeing only Eric at the museum," Jacob joins Kevin's laughter. "No offense to him, but he's not... you."

Kevin blushes at those words. "Well, are you busy later? We could get hot chocolate?"

The older smiles brightly, "I would love that."
