Kevin felt relieved to be able to see Jacob again. Even if he wasn't able to be in a companionship with the other, Kevin was happy to at least settle with a simple friendship.

They were currently in a cafe, both holding a warm mug of hot chocolate while seated on a couple of sofa seats. It was a new cafe compared to the last one they went to, but this was just as cozy and welcoming.

"What have you been up to, Kev?" Jacob asks casually. He glanced up as he sipped his drink.

"Kev?" A playful smirk lights up Kevin's face, teasing the younger.

Jacob's face grows red as he stutters out an excuse from embarrassment. The younger found this adorable.

"Hey, don't worry so much. It's cute, I like it." Kevin smiles, noticing the other sigh from relief. "It's mostly been work. Eric and I have also been trying to create music. He's a really good rapper so we're going to make videos and post them on youtube or something." Him and Eric have been planning this for months. They hoped something could come out of it.

Jacob's eyes light up at that. "Oh! You will have to play something for me! I love music so much and creating it gives me a euphoric feeling after seeing it come to life. Wait, we should make music together, too! That would be so much fun." The excitement poured out of him as he talked animatedly.

The excitement the older was exuding made Kevin laugh. He agrees on it, secretly getting overly excited as well.

They could make a masterpiece together. Their beautiful vocals would accompany each other's nicely. Just add Jacob's guitar and Kevin's piano, then the final product will be perfect.

The rest of the time was spent planning on the music they wanted to create and sharing busking stories. The two forgetting about the time passing by them and life moving around them. It was just those two in the moment and nothing else mattered. Not even the incessant vibrating from Jacob's phone could take them out of their own world.

Eventually, though, they had to part from each other. They were saddened by this, as they had both really enjoyed each other's presence, but quickly agreed to meet up again.

"Let me know when you get home, so I know you're safe." Kevin felt like he was stepping his boundaries a bit, but he was allowed to care for the safety of the older. It was a simple human action. Even though, Jacob already has a boyfriend.

Jacob nodded with a bright smile as they left each other. As Kevin made his way back to his home, he thought about how Jacob never talks about his boyfriend. Why wasn't he worried for the younger's safety? It seemed like his soulmate was always by himself. That wasn't right, or very gentlemanly.

Shrugging it off, Kevin decides its best to leave it alone. They were friends and that was good enough for him. If he has to wait another lifetime to be with his soulmate, there would be no hesitation. Kevin would do anything to be with his soulmate completely. Maybe in another life, then, if not this one. He will be with him eventually. They were soulmates it was bound to happen, but no matter what, their souls will fight for each other.
