"Namjoon hyung, I brought someone," Tae said softly, stepping aside to reveal the young man standing next to him.

Namjoon raised his head from the papers scattered across his desk and squinted slightly. The guy standing in front of him looked familiar, though Namjoon couldn’t immediately place him. He furrowed his brow, searching his memory.

The young man smiled nervously and stepped forward. "You’re Namjoon hyung, right? Jimin’s best friend?"

Namjoon blinked in recognition. "Yeah, that’s me," he said slowly, standing up. "And you are...?"

"I’m Jungkook," the young man replied, his voice a bit shaky. "Jimin and I... we're close. He talks about you a lot."

Namjoon’s eyes widened slightly as it clicked. "Jungkook," he repeated, the name settling into place. He remembered Jimin mentioning him—a lot, in fact. "Right, you’re the one Jimin’s always talking about."

Jungkook nodded, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "I hope... I hope it’s good things."

Namjoon chuckled softly, offering a hand. "Yeah, mostly good. Welcome, Jungkook."

"Where is Jimin?" Jungkook asked, his eyes scanning the hallway anxiously.

Namjoon pointed toward the end of the corridor. "There," he said quietly.

Jungkook’s heart sank as he spotted Jimin, sitting on the floor with his knees pulled to his chest, his head resting on them. He looked so small, so vulnerable. Without another word, Jungkook excused himself, bowing slightly toward Namjoon before rushing over to Jimin.

"Hyung, please... I want to be alone," Jimin said softly, thinking Namjoon was still in front of him.

But Jungkook stood there, watching Jimin's shoulders shake with quiet sobs. He knew Jimin was trying to hold it together, but the pain was too much.
Kneeling down in front of him, Jungkook gently reached out, his hand stroking Jimin’s soft hair. Jimin didn’t react immediately, but Jungkook could feel the tension in his body.

"Honeybunch..." Jungkook’s voice broke the silence, soft but filled with so much love and sorrow.

Jimin’s head snapped up immediately. He knew that voice—he could never forget it. The moment Jungkook spoke, Jimin’s composure crumbled completely. His soft sobbing turned into uncontrollable cries, raw and filled with the weight of his suffering.

"Kkuk... Jjungkook..." Jimin’s voice trembled, his tears growing heavier as he blindly reached out, searching for him.

Jungkook quickly took both of Jimin’s hands, gently guiding them to his face. "I’m here, honey. Your boyfriend is here," Jungkook whispered, his voice tender yet filled with emotion.

Jimin’s fingers brushed over Jungkook’s cheeks, his breath hitching as he sobbed harder. "Kkuk-ah... You’re here," Jimin choked out, his disbelief evident. He couldn’t believe that Jungkook was really with him, holding him.

"I’m here," Jungkook repeated softly, his own tears falling as he looked at how broken Jimin was. "I will always be by your side."

He wiped the tears from Jimin’s cheeks with his thumbs, though more kept falling. Jimin’s eyes were swollen, his cheeks red from crying for too long, and his nose had that familiar flush. Jungkook’s heart ached seeing him like this, and he couldn’t stop his own tears from falling.

"Harabeoji... I-I don’t know what happened," Jimin stuttered through his sobs, his voice shaking uncontrollably. "Namjoon hyung said, Harabeoji... blood... blood came out from his nose and... and mouth. I-I don’t know. I-I really don’t know..."

Jimin’s body trembled, and Jungkook’s heart broke seeing him like this. Without hesitation, Jungkook gently pulled Jimin down into his lap, wrapping his arms tightly around him. Jimin collapsed against him, his tears soaking into Jungkook’s shirt.

"Hey... hey..." Jungkook whispered soothingly, holding him closer. He knew Jimin was fragile when it came to his Harabeoji. The bond they shared was special, and seeing his grandfather in pain was tearing Jimin apart. "Harabeoji will be fine."

Jimin’s sobs continued, but Jungkook’s embrace was grounding him. He stroked Jimin’s hair softly, whispering, "We’ll get through this together. You’re not alone, Jiminie."

Jimin sobbed into Jungkook’s shoulder, his voice breaking. "Harabeoji will leave me. Please, don’t let it happen. Please..." His words were desperate, filled with fear and helplessness.

Jungkook tightened his hold around Jimin, trying to steady his own trembling heart. "No... Harabeoji won’t leave you," Jungkook whispered, his voice soft yet firm. "I know he doesn’t want to leave you. You need to be strong, Jimin. Harabeoji wouldn’t want to see you like this. His Jiminie is a strong person."

Jimin shook his head against Jungkook’s chest, his tears soaking through the fabric. "I’m not... I’m not," Jimin choked out, his cries growing louder. "I still need him. Make him stay with me..." He sobbed harder, his pain spilling out in desperate cries, begging for help from Jungkook. " I can't, I'm not strong."

"Yes, you are strong," Jungkook said softly, embracing Jimin with all the love and warmth he could muster. "You have a lot of problems in your life, but you still handle them with such courage."

Jimin continued to sob, his tears soaking through Jungkook’s shirt. "We're going through all this together," Jungkook reassured him, his voice steady despite the tears in his own eyes. "I don’t want to leave you. I won’t leave you."

Jungkook held Jimin close, his arms wrapped tightly around him, offering the comfort and strength Jimin needed in this moment of despair. "You’re not alone," he murmured into Jimin’s hair. "No matter what happens, I’ll be right here with you."
