Jungkook POV
Today was a very meaningful day for Jimin and me. It was November 8th, our one-year anniversary. I had planned a romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant, hoping to make it special. But Jimin, as usual, doesn’t like me spending money on him. He’s never been one for expensive food or gifts. I once bought him a branded shirt, nothing extravagant, yet he made me return it. He even followed me to the shop to make sure I actually returned it! I was so embarrassed, but that’s my stubborn boyfriend for you. He doesn’t need gifts; he just wants my time, even if it's only for a minute. But today is different—our special day.
“Kkuk, this is too much!” Jimin exclaimed as we walked side by side into the restaurant.
I had made a one-room reservation just for the two of us—something more private, intimate, just for me and my boyfriend. I could see the surprise on his face, but I smiled, enjoying the moment.
"Take a seat, my princess," I said, pulling out the chair for him like a true gentleman.
Jimin giggled, taking his seat. "Thank you, my Prince," he replied with a playful wink, making my heart race. Moments like this were priceless.
I could see the happiness radiating from my lover’s face. I knew Jimin would have been content with just a single rose, but for me, he deserved more. Jimin is special—he has this magical way of making me laugh and keeping me grounded. He’s the only one who can handle my stubbornness and ego, always putting me in my place when I’m wrong. I’ve learned not to mess with Park Jimin.
But the best thing? The way he hugs me, making me feel like I’m the most important person in his life. Once, I asked him why he loved me. His answer was simple yet perfect: "I love you because of you, yourself."
"I hope you enjoy it."
"I will. Thank you, Kkuk," Jimin smiled warmly.
I reached out, holding the hand of the man I loved tightly. "No, baby, thanks to you. You’re willing to be with me, able to love me no matter how bad my behavior can be." A soft laugh escaped Jimin, and he gently squeezed my hand in return. His touch was soothing, and his smile, so genuine, filled my heart with warmth.
"I know my ego is high…" I admitted with a sheepish grin.
"Yup, high as Mount Everest," Jimin teased, "But I still love you."
This is my boyfriend. Even though I was often the reason for our quarrels, he was always the first to give in. Our peaceful moment was interrupted when the waitress arrived with our food.
“Enjoy your meal, sir,” she said, giving me a sweet smile.
“We will, thank you,” I replied politely.
“If you need anything, call me,” she added, her eyes lingering a little too long.
I noticed Jimin leaning back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest. Oh no. Now, what? I thought, bracing myself for what was coming next.
