"Did they tell you something? Or were you too scared again to ask about it?" A middle-aged man had entered the dark room, that was only lit up by a little lamp. He walked over to the boy, who was still reading an old book that was only just held together by it's spine.

"Put that stupid book away and look at me." The man snapped, kicking the book out of his hands.
"Now, do you have anything to tell me about them?"

The young boy shook his head, being unable to give an answer, too scared to talk.

"Then what are you doing here?! Don't come back without information!" He yelled, making the boy back away, but was stopped by the book shelf.

"I'm sorry, father ... I-I'll do my best to give you more information about them when I return. But I have to know more about them in order to give you good information, so I have to read through these books." The boy mumbled, not daring to look up at his father. Instead, he grabbed the book again and continued reading where he left off.

"What do you want to know? It would be weird if you knew a lot about them. They would start getting suspicious. So the less you know, the better." He finished, leaving the room afterwards.

The boy put the book down and started browsing through the shelves, grabbing a book every now and then. His father had collected a lot of books about one particular being over the years, making it not that easy to find the best books from them.
He had taken a few books and put them in a bag, returning to his room. He knew he had to be careful about what he read, because not everything written down was true. And in this particular case, different books contradicted each other a lot.
His father had taught him a bit about them too, but it was different than reading about it. Ever since he was young, he enjoyed reading these books. He had never seen a real one back then, but he used his fantasy to create what they would look like. Monsters, but he was wrong. He was so wrong. Ever since he fell in love with one, he couldn't find himself being as exited about all of this, making his father worry about him too. Well, not that his father cared about him, other than the use he could be for him in finding the creatures again. He was used as a bait, and there was nothing he could do about it. He really wished his father would change his thoughts about them, but he also knew that would never happen. His whole life, his father had been working on finding them and discovering what made them different from humans. His whole life, he has wanted to figure out a way to destroy every single one of them, because making them human again wasn't possible.

Yunho was sitting on his bed, still trying to figure out why he had felt like that a few days ago with Mingi. He suddenly felt so hungry. If Mingi hadn't reacted the way he did and pulled away, he might have bitten him. It isn't normal for a vampire to want to drink from another vampire, right? He had dug up the one book he trusted for his answers under a pile of papers and trash, where he always hid it. It was very old and the papers were yellow and dirty. The handwritten words from his ancestors still readable. It was like a diary, but with only one subject. His family had always been researching about vampires and he really trusted their words.
But even though he had read through it multiple times, he still hasn't found anything about it. Until he remembered the papers that had fallen out over time. He got up quickly, looking for the papers that were somewhere between the trash and papers he had put in the drawer.
Luckily he found the lost papers after a few minutes of searching.
He hoped these would give him answers. And they did.

Neither my ancestors nor I knew about this. Depending on the blood they drank after being bitten, the eye colour is different. I haven't found everything yet. They don't want to tell us much. The most known are red eyes. They mean that they drank from a human. Green has the meaning of having animal blood as the first meal. There are two other colours that we haven't been able to figure out. Both pink- and blue-eyed vampires refuse to tell us how they received their respective eye-colour.
