Simon collected Chloe from her apartment, agreeing that they should both dress casual, no need for the fancy get up.

It was a warm day in London so Chloe opted for some dark blue shorts, held tight with a black Gucci belt. Paired with a white top, tucked into the shorts to give her a more slimming look. She tied up hair up into a ponytail, stretching it almost on top of her head, complimented with small silver hoop earrings. She decided the heat would most likely melt her makeup so she layered herself with sun cream, leaving her makeup free except a touch of mascara.

She slipped on some white canvas shoes and met Simon at the door. He looked like classic Simon with black shorts and a pink shirt - sidemen everything including the socks.

"Shall we go?" He asked.

"Just let me fetch my bag." Chloe smiled as she grabbed a small over the shoulder beige bag.

With that they left the apartment and made their way towards Simons car. Chloe climbed into the passenger side, unaware to where they were heading.

"It's a long drive." Simon moaned as he started up the car.

"Where to?" Chloe questioned.

"That's a surprise. I say long it's only like an hour and a half." Simon laughed.

"90 minutes? Jeez Simon." Chloe laughed as she settled in for the long drive ahead.

"It's fine, it'll be worth it." Simon smiled.

"Hmmm. Should I be nervous?" Chloe questioned.

"Definitely not. Just prepare to be dazzled. This is a bit extra for a first date." He smiled, keeping his eyes on the road as he pulled out into the London streets.

"Please tell me you didn't spend too much money on this." Chloe pleaded.

"Chloe, not to brag but you know I'm not in a position to be tight. Don't worry about it, I know my limits." He laughed taking a corner through central as he attempted an escape out of London.

"Fine, just don't expect expensive things from me. I'm not that lucky." Chloe shyly admitted.

"I never would." Simon smiled.

While Chloe was still uneasy about their situation, too afraid to admit maybe she'd done the wrong thing - but it felt good to see Simon smile, especially when she was the reason.

As the car journey exited London, the roads became more clear and the speeds increased. Simon raced the car down the motorway, sending thrills through Chloe, it's not often you can drive a car at high speed, especially through London. While they were perfectly safe and within the speed limit, Chloe forgot how exciting it felt.

"Woah." She laughed as the car jumped from 40-70 mph.

"Too much?" Simon laughed.

"You really know you're out of London when you can do that." she giggled.

"I love being able to push the car, it never really get outs." He smiled.

"I can see." Chloe relaxed, she's been in the car with Simon before. A unsaid trust goes when he's in the drivers seat, she's confident that he's a good driver. She melted into the warm seats as the music took her into another world, watching the outside as they drove into a more rural area.

"Cambridgeshire?" Chloe questioned as they entered a new county.

"Yep. Almost there." Simon smiled after an hour of driving.

"I've never been to Cambridgeshire before. It's where the posh university is isn't it?"

"Cambridge university, Stephen Hawking went there." Simon nodded.
