"Monkey?" Daryl asks from somewhere inside the house, "I'm home, daddy," I say closing the door behind me.

He walks down the stairs, "Ya come for breakfast," he asks. I nod and move forward into his arms.

"Yeah daddy, I did," I say snuggling into his chest, I smile and pull away. "I've gotta find Mika though," I tell him.

"Okay go," he says with a smile, I nod and walk up the stairs, "Mik!" I call walking down the hall.

The door to her room flies open as she squeals, "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," she says hugging me tightly.

"I know and I need a favor," I say. She nods and pulls me into her room, "What do you need?" she asks.

"I need you to fix my hair for my surprise tonight," I say. "Got it," she beams. I nod and sit on the chair in front of her vanity.

"Give me the best braid you can braid," I tell her. She silently starts working. Her fingers work restlessly through my hair.

"Do you have any ideas on what the surprise is?" I shake my head.

"I have no idea, but I am so excited," I mumble. My mind racing at the possibilities of the surprise.

"Whatever he plans you'll love it," she says, I stay silent, "Well all done," Mika says.

I smile and turn in the mirror to see the back of my head, I smile at the elaborate braid with smaller ones intertwined in the larger one.

"This is amazing!" I say with a smile, "Thanks," she mumbles.

I leave the house after I eat breakfast with everyone. I leave the house to walk Mika to school, "Girly wait up," I say to her as she runs ahead with her books. "I've got it!" she yells back as she gets to the school.

I sigh as Mika and Rosie discuss something, the older woman looks up. When she spots me she waves and I wave back. Mika and her go into the building. Footsteps make me turn to look behind me.

A strip of fabric gets pressed over my eyes, "Guess who," Carl whispers in my ear. I smile widely, he ties the bandana tightly over my face.

He grabs my hands and spins me around. "Hello, my lovelies your car has arrived," Enid giggles as a car pulls up beside me.

I hear car doors opening and I feel Carl's hands on my waist as he pushes me gently into the front seat. "I know you guys aren't gonna tell me but I'm guessing febreeze commercial," I ask.

"Nope," Carl chuckles as the seat belt gets pulled across my body. He kisses my nose as the metal clicks into place.

"Where the hell are you guys taking me?" I ask, wiggling my nose to try and loosen the blindfold over my eyes. "You'll see," Enid says placing her hands on my shoulders from the backseat of the car.

I feel another hand on my thigh, his hand slides up massaging the flesh. "Carl," I whisper moving my hand blindly to grab his.

"What?" he asks innocently, a smirk evident on his voice. His hand moves again. This time he tucks mine into his.

I smile and bring his hand up, I kiss his knuckles.

I guess a million places that we could be going but I never get a clear answer so it could be a Walmart or a fancy store. Neither would be something I'd want to do.

"Shit!" Carl yells, the tires screech panic hits me as the car hits something. I reach up to rip my blindfold off. Suddenly the car is in the air, I grip Enid's hand that is still on my shoulder. Carl throws his arm over my chest, the car flips. Once. Twice. There's a tree. Everything goes black.

I gasp, opening my eyes, my entire body hurts and my vision is blurred. "Ah- C-Carl, E," I whisper. it's still light but closer to sunset. I ununbuckle my seat belt and push open the car door.

There's a walker's head through the window, it decides to grumble. I grab my knife and smash the metal into it's skull before I swing my legs out the door.

The front of the car is wrapped around a tree, I take a deep breath and look into the backseat. Enid is laying across the seat. Her nose is bleeding but she's fine otherwise.

I struggle to pull myself out and into the grass, I open Enid's door. "E! Wake up," I say grabbing either side of her face. Blood is leaking from her nose, I wipe some of it away before I grab her shoulders. I pull her up, the scent of smoke hits my nose.

I glance up to the front of the car, smoke is leaking from under the hood. "Shit, shit, shit!" I yell wrapping my arms around Enid's waist "Carl! Wake the hell up!" I scream. I lift Enid out of the back seat, flames burst up from the front of the car.

"Carl!" I yell as I lay Enid in a mossy spot on the forest floor. I rush back to the heap of metal that we used to call a car. I throw open the driver's side door, I grab Carl's arm.

"Come on baby," I scream as the heat from the fire builds. I yank him out from behind the bent in steering wheel. His feet drag in the grass as I pull him away. I struggle to keep him upright because of his weight. I can hear the crackle of the fire as I fall to the ground, "Come on," I sob as I yank on his arm. We're still to close to the car. I gasp as a I fall back onto the ground from the force of the explosion.

I push Carl ground and throw my body over his, with hazy realization I wonder when the walkers will come because of the noise or the fire.
