I sit down on the porch with supplies for studying, I open up my anatomy book and grab my highlighter.
"How's my future doctor doing?" Carl asks as he places Judith on a blanket so that she can play with her toys. "Good," I say, he hands over a cup of coffee. "Just the way you like it," he says.
I smile and take a sip before writing some things in my notebook. "Perfect," I say, "So what are we doing today?" Carl places his hand on my knee. "This, this is all I wanna do," he says.
"We can take a nap and go for a walk and teach Judith how to paint," Carl says, rubbing my leg. I smile and grab his hand, "That sounds like an amazing idea," I say.
Carl comes back with an arm load of art supplies, "Jude look," I say laying out a piece of paper, Carl dips his fingers into some purple paint. He drags his finger over the sheet, Judith smiles and copies her brother's movements.
After the girl smears some more paint on the page Carl gives her a new piece, "Heart," she says as she makes the shape of a heart with the paint on her fingers.
"Heart is here," she giggles as she presses her messy hand to the center of Carl's chest. Carl smiles, "You know you can do this too," he chuckles as he wipes some paint on the end of my nose.
I gasp before a giggle escapes my lips, I get paint on my hand and smear it across Carl's cheek. He shakes his head and Judith rubs her foot across one of her almost dry masterpieces.
After an epic paint war Carl carries Judith inside, "I'll fill up the sink," I say placing a kiss on Carl's paint covered cheek.
I stand up and go into the house. I grab a towel from the closet before I fill up the kitchen sink for the young girl. Carl come into the house with his sister in his arms.
We struggle to get the girl's clothes off without ruining them but it's no use because she already covered them in paint. "Let's get you washed," I say with a smile as I plop her into the sink. I mix in some baby soap so she can have some bubbles.
Carl puts in some toys and we watch as the girl splashes around in the sink. "Gimme those hands!" Carl says as he holds up a washcloth. The girl squeals as she splashes at him.
Carl grabs her hands, he rubs the paint from her skin until the water is a gray-purple color. "You are one dirty baby," I say as I rub some soap into her hair, Carl rinses her hair gently.
I grab the towel I hold it up for the baby, I grab Judith up and wrap her in the soft towel. "Go get a shower I think you might be worse off than her," I say, Carl nods and presses a kiss to my lips.
We all walk up stairs, I watch as Carl goes into the bathroom. I walk down the hall and into Judith's nursery, I lay her down on the changing table so I can dry her off and get her dressed.
Judith yawns and rubs her eyes with balled fists, "Nap time?" I ask, she nods and I walk away. I lay her down in her crib, I place a diaper under her bum and tape it up.
I pull a comfortable cotton dress over her head, "'Ocks?" she asks as she grabs her feet. I smile and grab a pair of socks from her small dresser.
She grabs one of the yellow socks from my hand and she pulls it over her foot. I grab her other leg and put the second sock on.
I pick her up and placer her in the white crib, the girl sits down on the mattress. She grabs her favorite blankie as she lays down. I place a kiss to her nose and quietly close the door behind me.
I walk out into the hall, the shower door is open slightly and I can't help but walk toward it. I move slowly into the bathroom, I lean against the door.
Carl turns around, "Looking hot," I say as I step fully into the room. I kick the door closed behind me.
I take my shirt off, Carl gasps and I let out a squeal when the door opens. Mika yells and covers her eyes. I yank my shirt back over my head, "Come on," I say as I grab her shoulders.
I lead her out of the room and into the hallway. I shut the door, "There's a lock for a reason," she mutters before looking up at me.
"Yes, that was my fault and I'm sorry, but you've seen worse so you're not scarred for life or anything, right?" I ask her.
"No major damage," she says with a smile, "I just came up to tell you that Denise was downstairs," she says. I nod and place a kiss to her forehead, "Homework," I say to her before I jog down the stairs.
I smile at Denise who is sitting at the kitchen table, "Hey," I say as I sit beside her. "Hey," she mutters, "What's wrong?" I ask, Denise shrugs, "It's Tara," she says.
I nod, "She's been pulling back and she was the first one to volunteer to help Rick with this thing. Go to hilltop," she says.
"Carl was gonna go to but he's here, either way if Tara would've stayed you still know she loves you, even if she's however many miles away," I say. Denise nods, "I also kinda need your help," she says, "What do you need?" I ask. "Well, Pete was a really unorganized guy and I need some help reorganizing."
