A bang sounds, Carl sits up straight as the building shakes. Mika jumps when the same thing happens again, I stand up and slide my gun into its place.

Judith is in Carl's arms and I pull Mika out into the hallway. "Take Judith and find your mom. Get to the bus," Carl commands, handing the six year old, the baby and a bag.

She nods and runs out the back door. "Is the bus close?" I ask Carl. He nods and hands me my bow and quiver before pulling me out the front door.

He drags me into the main courtyard where there are chunks of cement and metal scattered across the ground.

I run to the fence and lace my fingers into the metal. Carl's warm hand wraps around my arm.

I stare at a tank with cars and men around it, a man with an eye patch starts to speak. "I need Rick to come down, I wanna have a little chat," he says.

I look around and spot Rick, "It's not just me anymore," he says. "We've got a council now!" he yells down over the hill. "Well I bet I can convince you to come down."

The man waves his hand. People move around. Someone pulls Michonne and Hershel from one of the cars.

I flinch as he forces them to their knees in front of him. Maggie grabs my hand and leans her head against the fence.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn to see Daryl holding out two rifles. I take them both and hand one to Maggie.

I place the end of my gun through one of the small diamond shapes in the fence. Maggie does the same as Rick walks down the dirt road.

"Elaine where are the girls?" Daryl asks turning his head to me. I shake my head. "I told Mika to find Carol and get on the bus," Carl says before focusing on the man.

"Who is this guy?" I ask, Carl shakes his head and clenches his jaw. "He killed people from our group, my aunt Andrea. Others. His name's the Governor." I furrow my brows and turn back to the men talking.

The Governor moves behind a car and draws Michonne's sword. He presses it against Hershel's throat.

Maggie whimpers and shakes the fence slightly, her hand leaves mine and she puts her finger on the trigger.

Other people gather around us placing guns against the fence. Maggie screams and my eyes widen as the Governor pulls the sword back before swings it forward.

The tank fires again this time blowing into the watchtower. Concrete clatters everywhere. I start shooting at the men.

Michonne jumps away and ducks behind a car. Maggie screams again and down holds the trigger on her gun. Men and women fall to the ground as the tank rolls through the gates. "Come on!" Carl yells grabbing my shoulder.

He pulls me behind a wall and I watch as the bus pulls away, "Shit!" he yells. "We need to make sure they got on the bus!" he says popping his head out around the wall. I grab his hand and run to the other side of C-Block.

We fall to the ground behind a garden bed as another bomb hits the building. I gasp at the sound of my bow snapping. He tugs it off of my body and tosses it somewhere. I hear the screams of a woman, "We should be helping them," I whisper.

Carl shakes his head. "No we wait until they leave," he breathes in my ear. I lean my head back and brace myself to push him off of me. I gasp as he pins my wrists to the ground with strong hands.

"We can't help them if we die, so stop," he growls against my face. His breath is hot against my skin. "Okay," I whisper.

I can't help the tears that leak past my temples. I let out a tiny sob and Carl looks at me. I get my arms free and wrap them around his neck to pull him close to me.
