"Empty your pockets, take off your belts we need to make weapons," Rick says waving his hand around the car.

I dig through my pockets and pull out a half-eaten candy bar, a piece of blue and green glass, a rock I found, and a toothbrush.

We all throw our items in the middle of the car, "Maggie take the watch and carve out stakes that we can use for weapons," Glenn says passing her an antique pocket watch.

She nods and moves to the other side of the car, I follow her with the shard of glass. "Daddy said that he was with Beth, she made it Maggie," I say as she starts moving the chain of the watch to carve out the wood.

After a few minutes of silence, she looks up at me, "I needed to hear that," she says with a small smile.

"I know I just wish someone would tell me that Mika and Carol were okay," I mutter. I feel her arms around me again, "You'll find her again, just like I'll find Beth," she says.

I nod before she pulls away from me, I wipe a drop of sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand. I take a piece of wood from Maggie and use the sharp glass to carve it into a point. It's probably a hundred degrees in here and it's almost too hard to breathe.

"Ready!" someone yells from outside the sliding door. It flies open and a clatter sounds. A small bang startles me, I back up against the wall as smoke fills the small space.

Maggie throws herself onto me and I bury my face in her shirt to block out the harsh gray air.

It starts to clear, but my lungs don't. They're burning as I try to cough but nothing wants to go in or out. A short woman with her dark hair in pigtails rushes over to me.

"Does she have asthma?" she asks, Maggie nods and grabs my hand. "Abraham, gimme your water," she says holding her hand out.

A large red-headed man tosses over a bottle, "Here take a drink, we gotta keep you alive," I manage to gulp down some of the cool liquid.

"Where's Daddy and Rick?" I ask, Maggie stands up and looks around, "Where did those sons of bitches take them?" she growls.

"I don't know but we need to get to work!" Michonne says the woman in front of me tilts her head and smiles.

"I'm Rosita. Are you Elaine?" she asks I furrow my brows, "How did you know my name?" I ask.

"Maggie told me all about her sisters and how the prison fell and the group all got separated," she says, I smile.

"Yeah, we just need to find the rest of our people. We lost Carol, Mika, Beth, and Tyrese, they all got split from the main group," I say. Rosita turns to look at Carl who is standing behind her.

"Here you take my spot, make sure her breathing is normal and if she needs help do this breathing exercise." Rosita demonstrates the breathing for it before she joins the others in trying to make weapons.

"Are you okay?" Carl asks grabbing the sides of my face. I grin and quickly press my lips to his, "Carl Grimes, I am perfectly fine," I mumble.

He sits beside me and holds my hand in his, "When we get out of here you need to stay with me or someone that can protect you after that," he says.

I raise an eyebrow, "Really. You think an asthma attack can stop me," I joke, punching his arm. He rolls his eyes, "I know it won't but I don't want you getting left behind if you can't run," he says, pressing his lips to my temple.

The man with the mullet, whose name I learned was Eugene makes a noise of great realization. Everyone looks over to him as he moves over to the door. "What is it?" Abraham asks walking over to stand beside him.

The dark haired man pulls a battery out of his pocket. "I think I can compromise the hinges of the door, therefore setting us free to find our friends," he says looking up at Abraham.

"You can bust open that door with a battery?" I question. Carl pulls me up and I lean on him for support. My legs still feel like jello but if I have to run I will.

Carl hands me a sharpened piece of wood. "Stay close to me and Maggie," he says as Maggie grabs my other arm.

I yelp as the whole car shakes, Carl grabs my waist and Michonne runs over to us. "Guys come on!" Abraham yells yanking Eugene out of the car.

Carl takes my hand and leads me out of the car, we stay low as gunfire rings around us. I keep my weapon ready.

Suddenly I'm yanked back with a hand around my throat. "Carl!" another arm folds over mine as the hand around my throat moves and brings a gun to my head.

The cool metal numbs the warm skin under it. I shut my eyes for a moment to try and pretend that I'm somewhere else.

Carl rushes forward but Michonne grabs him. I shake my head as the man starts speaking. "Any of you move and I'll put a bullet in her skull. But if y'all leave I'll take care of her real good," Carl shakes his head and my lip trembles.

He lowers his lips to my ear, "I'll take care of you real good," he whispers, pressing his hips against me. I squirm in his grip as Carl struggles against Michonne.

"Kid," Abraham growls grabbing onto Carl, he pulls him back and holds him from running to me.

"Lainey! DUCK!" Daryl's voice screams from behind me. I pull myself slightly from his grip. I feel his warm blood pouring down from his throat.

I fall to the ground with the man on top of me. His blood is leaking all over me, someone yanks off the body.

I let some tears fall as Carl pulls me into his arms, his thumbs wipe away some of the blood from my cheeks. "Monkey, are you okay?" Daryl asks running over to us, he presses a kiss to my hair as Rick and the other men sprint over to us.

Rick hugs Michonne and Carl. Maggie kisses Glenn and Bob smiles as he runs to Sasha. "We gotta go," Rick says motioning for everyone to follow him.

"We can go this way," Daryl calls heading up the front of the group. Sasha yells when she gets pushed from the group by a walker doused in flames.

Michonne and Maggie rush over to the woman so they can save her from the walker that is on fire.

Carl drags me to the fence. He holds my waist while I climb over the chain-link. Daryl puts me on the ground from the other side. I fall to the ground in a fit of coughs, "Come on," Glenn says since he's the only other person on this side.

He takes my arm in his hand, "Drink," he mutters as he hands me a bottle of water. I take a sip, another cough and I end up puking the water and rabbit meat that I ate the other day. Carl rushes over after he gets over the wall, "I'm fine," I say as I stand up on my own.

I give Glenn a nod, "Thanks," I say. The man nods, I turn to Carl, "I'm okay," he says with a small smile. I hug him but something makes me pull away from him. I look to my right, Carl does the same.

I ready my weapon as a slow-moving figure emerges. Carol steps out with a smile and dirt on her soft face.

Rick walks over to the woman, "Did you do this?" he asks. She nods quietly, he hugs her. Daryl sobs lightly and rushes over to the woman.

He wraps his arms around her and holds her tightly before lifting her and spinning her with a smile.

She kisses his cheek before looking to me. "What happened?" she asks motioning for me to walk over to her.

I dive into her arms, Daryl holds the both of us tightly. "I have a surprise," Carol announces, she pulls away from us.

I look up at her and she pushes the hair from my face. "This way," she says. We follow her to the edge of the forest, all wondering what the surprise will be.

Soon we arrive at a cabin, the door opens and Mika emerges. She laughs and sprints off the porch. "Girly!" Daryl yells as she runs to him. He lifts her into his arms and she squeals as he squeezes her tightly.

Tyrese comes out next with Judith nestled in his arms, Rick sobs and clutches his son close to him.

"I'm glad you're okay," I sob but the tears are happy. Mika hugs daddy tightly. He stands up, "Come on. I've got room for all my girls," he says. Carol and I walk into his arms.
