yixing walked back in, obviously pissed off. he stood beside sehun, taller than he was just slightly. he handed him back his phone and sehun's anxiety came back.

"what did he say?" sehun asked.

"if he goes near you, let me know and i'll beat him up," yixing told sehun very seriously. his friends were shocked.

"but you're pacifist," jimin said. yixing shook his head, clenching and unclenching his fist in an attempt to calm down.

"not when it comes to that asshole. i mean it, sehun, if he so much as texts you, tell me," yixing said, "i'll handle him."

"thanks hyung, but you don't have to throw away your values over me," sehun said, sincerely touched.

"men like that have no values, and so i won't either when it comes to dealing with them," yixing said, an absolutely livid gleam in his eyes.

"well, if you want something to make you feel better, then maybe we should tell you that minseok was jongdae's xiumin back in high school," baekhyun said. yixing rose an eyebrow, glancing between minseok and jongdae.

"makes sense," yixing nodded, "how'd you find out?"

"mentioned baseball-"

"you should've pursued your baseball career," yixing immediately said, arm slinging over jimin's shoulders. jongdae shook his head.

"it wouldn't have gone anywhere."

"you were being scouted when you were a freshman," baekhyun said, scoffing, "you were a god."

"nah," jongdae shook his head, sighing, "it's whatever. like i said, i'm over it. i wouldn't set myself up for failure."

"you know, back when i was a doctor-"

"dr. zhang yixing," sehun whispered to tao, who smiled.

"no fit," tao agreed with small giggle. yixing rose an eyebrow.

"okay, first of all, ouch, there's nothing wrong with my name," yixing said.

"dr. zhang yixing," baekhyun repeated, grinning, "i'm sorry, i just can't with that. it sounds like something out of a novel."

"i like the way it sounds," jimin consoled yixing.

"it's alright, i didn't like it very much either," yixing shook his head, "anyways, first of all, my name is fine. secondly, dae, when i was a doctor- don't you dare interrupt me, oh sehun- you told me to pursue a career in dance because the only way i would set myself up for failure would be if i didn't try at all."

"that was months ago, why the fuck do you remember that?" jongdae frowned.

"cause words are his biggest addiction," sehun said, looking to yixing, "you know people don't listen to people anymore, right?"

"not having that discussion again, i refuse to believe that people don't pay attention to the things you say," yixing said, "anyways, what i'm saying is, dae, you should take your own advice."

"nah, i missed my shot, hyung," jongdae sighed, "it's alright. i have a job anyways and i make decent money."

"desk job ew," tao said, shaking his head.

"mm, tao's right, you hate your job. your boss is a dick," sehun said. yixing nodded.

"eh," jongdae shrugged, "my job isn't that bad."

"i'm pretty sure no one in here knows what you do for a living," yixing said.

"i'm a procurements manager with specialization-"

tao, sehun, yixing, baekhyun, and jimin immediately began to fake snores. jongdae scoffed.

"you see, this is why none of you know what i do," jongdae said, angrily eating. baekhyun was the first to laugh.

"we're just playing, dae. for real, though, what is your job?"

"procurements-"

once again, his friends faked snores.

"alright, that one is on me, i shouldn't have fell for it," jongdae rolled his eyes, slightly amused despite the fact that his friends were poking fun at him.

"aren't you like... a computer nerd or something?" sehun asked curiously.

"sure," jongdae nodded, "cause a bitch ain't stupid."

"ha, imagine having a job," tao laughed to himself in chinese.

"you don't work?" kris asked him in chinese. sehun, jimin, and baekhyun, utterly confused on what they were saying, looked to jongdae and yixing for him. yixing translated to jimin and sehun quietly while jongdae explained to baekhyun.

"no, i'm still in college," tao explained, "i'm younger than my friends."

"how old?" kris asked.

"twenty one," tao said, "second youngest. sehun's younger than i am."

"i'm not that young," sehun said once it was translated, "i'm twenty one, which means i'm legally allowed to fuck up my life if i want to."

"god, what a mood," baekhyun laughed, sounding like a five year old for a second.

"what're you studying then?" kris asked curiously.

"i'm gonna be a defense specialist for the N.I.S.," tao explained, "which means i gotta work on my korean. or maybe i'll move to china and work for the M.S.S. i've not really decided yet."

tao's friends frowned immediately.

"but you're the little panda, what're we gonna do if you move?" jongdae frowned. tao shrugged, messing with his watch.

"it was only a thought," tao said, "i like the justice system here in south korea more but it's really hard for me sometimes."

"if you move, i'll go with you," yixing decided, tao immediately looking to him.

"you- you said you'd never go back," tao said.

"where would you stay in china, zitao?" yixing asked. tao thought about it.

"not sure," tao said.

"i don't like the thought of you being there alone," yixing said, "so if you move then i'll move with you."

"hyung, i appreciate it, but i know you'd rather die than go home," tao said, "too many bad memories there, remember?"

"you're my responsibility, tao."

yixing's words were enough to shut his friends up. baekhyun frowned.

"but you won't go, right?" baekhyun asked, slightly scared, "cause i don't make friends easy and you guys are kinda the only people i like to be around, excluding dae and hun."

"nothing's decided yet, don't worry," tao said, jongdae translating for everyone, "i'm not even done with school yet so it's pointless for me to worrying about this right now."

"right. and what about you, sehun?" jongin asked.

"what about me?"

"what do you do?"
