"alright, bye you guys," yixing said, waving his friends a goodbye."later hyung," jongdae said, "see you tomorrow, probably."
"see you then," yixing nodded, closing the door after him. he sighed, going back to the kitchen and beginning to clean.
"i've got it," junmyeon said, voice quiet. yixing rose an eyebrow.
"why would you want to help me?" yixing asked.
"you... you shouldn't have to do everything by yourself. it isn't fair," junmyeon said, not meeting yixing's eyes, "you know, i was with this person. i had to do everything too. it's.. not fun."
"you wanna talk about it?" yixing asked junmyeon. junmyeon looked to yixing, finally making eye contact. that scared him. yixing had the sweetest eyes, and he was sure that if he stared into them too often he'd end up falling for him.
"do you wanna talk about tzuyu?" junmyeon replied. yixing's smile fell.
"no," yixing sighed, "my friends try to get me to talk about it too much."
"mine too," junmyeon nodded, "but i'll clean, yixing hyung."
"how about this- i'll wash dishes, you dry them," yixing said, "you don't look like the type to like to wash dishes."
"okay," junmyeon nodded, agreeing to the conditions, "but only because i hate cleaning."
"alright," yixing said, "though, i am your hyung, so i should do it-"
"you already agreed," junmyeon laughed just slightly, "a deal is a deal."
"okay, okay," yixing agreed, smiling. they cleaned in silence, yet for once it wasn't tense and awkward.
"your friends seemed cool," junmyeon said.
"yeah, they are," yixing agreed, "yours did too. i think minseok has a crush on jongdae."
"as if, i think jongdae has a crush on minseok," junmyeon rebutted. the pair looked to each other, a friendly competitive smile on their faces.
"your boy used to give my boy a rose every day," yixing said.
"your boy realized he was gay for my boy," junmyeon couldn't help but grin.
"ah, whatever," yixing laughed, shaking his head as he went back to washing the dishes, "i think they'll date."
"i think so too," junmyeon agreed, "i'm sorry, you know."
"for what?" yixing asked, surprised.
"for, you know... being a little asshole," junmyeon said, "i'm not normally like that, it's just that i've been going through some stuff- which really isn't even an excuse, cause i didn't have any right to take it out on you-"
"hey," yixing said, hand falling on junmyeon's shoulder, "it's okay."
"it's not," junmyeon said, shaking his head as he stared at the plate in his hands, "i was really mean and you hadn't even done anything."
"well then, i'm sorry too," yixing said. junmyeon frowned, looking to him.
"but you didn't do anything," junmyeon said.
"i judged you. i'm sorry. you didn't deserve that. i figured you were some homophobe bitch. you're not. so, i'm sorry, cause i could've tried harder to get to know you but i just decided that you weren't worth it," yixing said, shaking his head, "which was really stupid of me, because you are worth it."
"worth what?" junmyeon asked.
"worth getting to know."
junmyeon blushed, beginning to dry a plate that was already dried.
"d-don't be stupid, hyung," junmyeon stuttered, embarrassed.
"aw, did i make you flustered?" yixing teased, ruffling junmyeon's hair, "how cute."
"ah, shut up," junmyeon mumbled, elbowing him lightly. yixing laughed.
"i'm just messing with you, kid," yixing said, going back to washing the dishes, "no need to get so shy."
"mm, well, that was the last dish," junmyeon said awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck, "goodnight, yixing hyung."
"goodnight, junmyeon," yixing replied. the smaller nodded, shyly walking to his room. yixing sighed, running a hand through his hair.
he's... he's cute.
what the fuck is this feeling in my body?
