"and that wraps up our review," junmyeon spoke to his first period class, "any questions?"

a guy in the back of his classroom rose his hand. ah, bambam. he was a bit of a clown but junmyeon was fond of him. he did in his best in class, and that's all he wanted from any of his students.

"yes, bambam?" junmyeon called on him.

"was that guy your boyfriend?" bambam grinned. junmyeon blushed as his students started to tease him.

"mr. kim and mr. zhang, sitting in a tree," they chanted, "k-i-s-s-i-n-g."

"that's enough," junmyeon cleared his throat, regaining his composure, "and no, he is not my boyfriend. he's my roommate."

"but you like him, don't you?" yugyeom, bambam's boyfriend, asked. junmyeon sighed, leaning back in his chair.

"what does this have to do with your finals tomorrow?" junmyeon asked.

"oh come on, mr. kim, tell us about him," ara whined, "you're our favorite teacher. we need to make sure he's good enough for you."

"alright, alright," junmyeon groaned as his students began to whine and beg, "his name is zhang yixing. he's 23. he's a doctor, or well, he was. now he's pursuing a career in dance. he's outrageously smart. like, crazy smart. he's very sweet, very humble. he's pretty special."

junmyeon nodded to himself, deciding the description was specific enough for him to end the conversation with his students. he looked to the freshmen and sophomores, who were all grinning at him.

"you like him!" yugyeom exclaimed. junmyeon shook his head.

"no," junmyeon lied, more to himself than the others, "he's just impossible to not get along with."

"maybe he will be mr. kim one day," jinyoung said. the students snickered.

"no, no, let's be real, mr. kim would change his name to mr. zhang," bambam laughed. junmyeon sighed, the bell ringing.

"leave, you rodents," junmyeon told his students, "scatter."

his students laughed and giggled as they left the classroom, junmyeon wishing them luck on their finals and telling them to sleep well.

i'll cook. be home by seven.

junmyeon all but squealed to himself. it was his free period, so he didn't have to worry about fanboying in front of his students (he'd never hear the end of it). junmyeon could see it now- they'd eat, talk, laugh, and then the awkward tension would dissipate and they'd be back to the way they were.

the way they were.

junmyeon sighed to himself. what even were they? too close for friends, sure, but close enough to be a couple? they didn't trust each other that much yet.

still, hyung is really really kind.

and caring.

and sweet.

damn it, i think i like him.
