Lemme just say... if abuse of alcohol or drugs triggers you in any way please don't read this. I don't want to be responsible for any type of injuries or other things. If it doesn't trigger you then enjoy it. This came to my mind randomly and I figured why not.

Daniel stood in his room cleaning out a closet when Jonah walked in. "Dani, I found this old laptop hidden in the bottom of a suitcase under your bed. What's it for?"
Daniel turned. "Nothing special," he replied, not wanting to give up his secret.
Jonah rolled his eyes and left the room. "Don't be late. We have a concert soon."
Daniel nodded. "I just need some time alone."
Jonah shrugged. "Whatever."
When Daniel was alone he locked his bedroom door. He reached for a box in his closet and dug through it until he found a bag of cocaine in it. Knowing that someone could come to his room at any time, he unlocked the door and shoved the bag in his pocket. He raced downstairs. "I'm gonna head out for a bit. I just need to walk."
"See you later," Jack replied.
When Daniel was gone, Zach frowned. "Isn't Daniel acting weird? Lately, he's not himself."
"Yeah. He has an unusual amount of energy and then crashes. I'm kind of worried about him," Corbyn said. "Jonah, since you're his boyfriend, I think you should be the one to check him."
"Or maybe he just doesn't want to talk about it. We don't want to be pushy," Jack said.
Jonah shook his head. "No. I think Corbs is right. I'm gonna go check his room."
"Jon," Zach stammered.
"I have to do this. Just to make sure he's okay," Jonah sighed. "I wish I didn't have to."
Jonah wandered upstairs and went into Daniel's room. He closed the door, not wanting the other boys to try and see. Whatever he found, he wanted to keep it between him and Daniel until Daniel wanted to share the information. Jonah went through Daniel's drawers and suitcases. Nothing was there. He went into Daniel's bathroom and searched. Nothing. Just as he began to feel relieved he spotted a box poking out of a pile of clothes. He took it out of the closet and opened it. There he found a small bottle of alcohol and small traces of white powder. Curious, he put the white powder on his finger and sniffed it. "Oh, Daniel."
Jonah walked downstairs, trying to force a casual smile. Corbyn sat up and turned off the television. "How did it go?"
"Fine," Jonah stammered.
"You're lying," Corbyn said.
"I said it was fine," Jonah snarled.
The tone of voice was so unusual for Jonah, that Corbyn went silent. Jonah closed his eyes. "I'm sorry Corbs. Please call John and tell him the concert needs to be canceled somehow."
"That bad?" Zach asked.
Jonah sat on the couch. "Let's keep watching the show."
After a few hours, Daniel walked in and was about to head to the downstairs bathroom when Jonah stood up. "Dani, we need to talk."
Daniel rolled his eyes. "What do you want?"
"Let's go to the kitchen to be alone," Jonah said.
Daniel nodded, completely dazed. "Whatever."
Jonah led his boyfriend into the kitchen and sighed. He pulled the alcohol bottle out from behind his back. "Dani, what's going on buddy? I even found the cocaine."
"You wouldn't understand!" Daniel yelled.
"No need to shout. I'm right here," Jonah said calmly.
"Fuck you!" Daniel screamed. "Why are you checking my room like I'm some fucking five-year-old!"
Jonah took a deep breath. "Dani, please calm down. We need to talk."
Daniel was shaking as he stared into Jonah's eyes. Jonah's heart broke as he saw the look on Daniel's face. Daniel pushed past Jonah and ran upstairs. Jonah followed Daniel. "Seavey!"
"Get out Marais!" Daniel screamed. "Get out!"
There was an awkward silence in the Why Don't We house for several weeks. Daniel was out longer hours and never participated in anything. It wasn't until Daniel got home when everyone was awake that all hell broke loose.
Zach stood in the kitchen waiting for popcorn when Daniel walked in. "Zachary Dean Herron! You're going to pay for this!"
Terrified, Zach turned. "What's wrong Daniel? What happened?"
"As if you didn't know. It's gone," Daniel screamed.
Zach began to cry when Daniel shoved him. The other boys ran in, worried about what Daniel might do to Zach. Jonah shoved Daniel against a wall. "Calm down."
Zach ran into Jack's arms shaking. Corbyn watched as Jonah whispered soothingly in Daniel's ear. Finally, Daniel calmed down. In fact, he was a little too calm. Jonah frowned and put a hand on Daniel's chest. His heart was beating hard and fast. "Dani, you good?"
Daniel started shaking and a look of panic crossed his face. Jonah took Daniel into his arms and sighed. "We have to get him to the hospital."
The boys piled into the car in a panic. When they arrived at the hospital they learned that Daniel had overdosed. They also learned that Daniel was suffering from severe depression and would need to go to counseling.
