zander searched all over the island for a florist shop. Blooms and blossoms were a quaint little shop it had a rustic feel the tables had a warm look to the . Upon them were extravagant bouquets . The American woman behind the counter smiled warmly at him. as she wrapped up the rose.she said My names rosemary, I own the shop . She seemed like the kind of person you would want to be your mother or friend .
She looked so formiliar but he couldn't put his finger upon it. Her eyes were captivating .he could tell she still looked lovely for her age.
She laughed " young man ,many young people don't know that roses have different meanings for each color. Yellow - condolences, pink - love or family, white- purity, purple - serenity ,and red- passion so on and so on . This must be a special lady to get red "
he thought of lacy for brief moment . This is the most he has ever done for a woman. Is this all ? As he nodded his head for once he was speechless.
He went to get a red rose for lacy when he got the hut door . He heard giggling he knocked on the door shuffling upon the balls of his feet.She flung herself at him as the door opened. zander dropped the rose in surprise.
Her eyes twinkled " did I put an a great act ?" Lacey asked
"An act !" he roared " That was all an act!"
She laughed "yes silly I thought u wanted me to act like your girlfriend ".was I too convincing?"
"You even fooled me ,I thought ...."Zander clinched his fist he fell for her act.
Victoria came out" wasn't she like one of those Spanish soap opera . She had me fooled for a moment til I seen the camera"
"Camera " Zander paled " I didn't see no camera"
" Come on " Victoria scoffed he was behind the bush" plus Lacey had mad fighting skills. She could have taken the reporter if she wanted"
Lacey's face went a Scarlett red color . Victoria didn't pay her any mind. "Lacey's the women division mix Martial arts champ on the islands . "She looked like she wanted to crawl into a hole and die.
"Is this true Lacey ? " Zander asked she only nodded. Victoria beemed she's now retired but her dad still trains upcoming new fighters .
My dad's known as " mad dog miller "the best mma fight of the west coast". She whispered under her breath.
"So your just filled with surprises ...Lacey "he beamed. She looked at him shocked expression.
"You still want to be with me even though you know you will the most wanted man in America if you break my heart. My dad would break you . "
"Nope not scared!"zander stated as he gave her the rose from off the ground."See I told you he is a keeper" Victoria beemed . Lacey smelt the sweet flower and smiled as she closed the door.
He turned around whistling as he found James where he had left him hours before. Suiting in the sand with a cold one in his hand. He offered one to Zander. Taking a long swallow of the cold liquid . He closed his eyes " she the women's mma champ on the island. "
James coughed " what...who"
Lacey is and her dad is "mad dog miller" the mma champion . You know the one we went to see in phenix . The one that bloody up Tyson rodriguez. Yeah he's Lacey's father. I'm so screwed if he finds out that I paid his daughter to be my fake girlfriend.
James turned from white to pale if that could actually happen.James looked like he was gonna pass out any moment. "Do you like her ? Would you give her up even though you know your a dead man walking?"
Zander pondered the question could he give her up? He seen her running in his direction . I came clear at that moment . He would see where this goes.
She came at him pulling from his place " my moms here you gotta meet her"James tipped his beer at him in a salute . Victoria did the same to James . He shook off the sand from his shorts . Lacey's mom was a short distance away when she turned to Lacey's voice. Zander stopped in his tracked as Lacey still tugged on his hand .
Mom this is my special friend Alexander gage. Alex this is my mom. Her face lite up as a she shook Alex's hand. This is my mom....
