The night went from bad to worse I had lost tadeos friendship. I lay my hands in my hands How had everything become so misconstrued
In a short period of time?
Alex hit the showers as I sat upon the cold floor . Slowly rising I seen my phone go off
Tadeo phone:hey girl I know you don't know me but I'm kiko .Tadeo was attacked he's at st. Theo hospital.
Lacey: attacked! how?
Kiko : I will fill you in when you get here.
Lacey : ok see you soon . what room?
Kiko : 604 east side his parents are on way
Alex I called out . He sings in the shower his deep voice rang "i can't help falling in love with you" Alex
He came out of the shower freshly shaven and smelling like clean forests. In another situation on any other day I would be climbing his tree. My lady bits tingled with anticipation of the possibility.
Alex was attacked right in front of his house. I gotta go to the hospital. I'm sorry for all of this we need to talk later.
"I will go with you flower it's night I wouldn't anything harm you. "What was he talking about something harming me?I watched him dress into his suit pants wincing as he lowerd down to pull them up. She knew he's proud and won't like for her to see him as weak. He put on a gray button up shirt.
"Just take my word it's not safe if anyone knew how much you mean to me you could be in alot of trouble"
Alex what's going on ?i have friends coming here to work everything out. But don't worry I will protect you.
We approached his rental he held his gym bag in one hand and keys in the other he passed me the keys to the Audi. Usually an Audi wouldn't be my choice of a car but how many times in your life will you get the chance of driving one? Not many...it was a smooth ride to the hospital. He held my right hand as I drove into the parking lot. We entered the lobby hall a cold shivers crept down my spine. Something was off then I seen him. Meters away stood Paul . His grey eyes held amusement I tried to back away but Alex's warm hand caressed the small of my back.
Alex that is Paul my ex. He looked dumbfounded .no that's my PR Caleb Petersand my best friend Gabriel Peters we call him gabe. He held a warm smile his eyes were like blue skies .
Lacey i Presume,I heard a lot about you from Zander . Out of the three men I have come to realize .James uses bold scarcasism to mask his insecurities. He the brains behind the operation... Alex is the leader like qualities that loves completion of any kind. But has a heart of gold. Then there was Chad the comedic relief he keeps the group together. Gabe Like a big brother kind of way.

Now this Caleb guy looked so much like Paul even his walk. He walked with swagger as they would say it. Confidence and determination.
Alex took Gabe off to the side to quietly talk to him about something. Caleb walked on closer and whispered for only my ears to hear. "Hello mouse. I see you have been naughty girl playing with the enemy."
Cold Shivers shot down as he ran finger tips down my arm. I hated his touch it repulsed me. " leave Alex alone Paul."
" Oh but I just have begun ,mouse".
"I hate you Paul"
"Oh honey your words wound me".
He walked off I walked toward tadeos room . His mother held his hand as his father paced the floor. " she rushed over and hugged me " it's so wonderful that your here he's gonna be so happy .tears flowed from her eyes as her husband held her. Lacey my poor boy was attached right in front of my house"
Tadeo's swollen black and blue face made him unrecognizable . One eye swollen shut and bottom lip split. He looked like someone beat him with a steel pipe . His mother cried " his left knees is shattered they say he may never fight again . All he ever wanted was to be like your dad. Now his dreams have been ripped away .
This is all my fault if I hadn't been so selfish Tadeo would be fine. Victoria came running in dragging a very confused James trailing behind her. Her aunt hugged her "tori"
"I know ..I know.."
I left them to visit at that moment I knew I had to go back home to New York . Paul had followed me and I would only put my family in harms way. I would break the news to tori when she got out the room.
Alex , I have to go back to New York I hope you happiness .. good bye Alex. He graded my wrist
"why now? What did I do ?" We we're working. Things out I thought we felt the same.
She would have to hurt him if that ment she had to hurt him.
No Alex, we never were on the same page . I used you as you did me it's over and I'm going home. His jaw clutched " your lying to me why?"
His eyes searching hers as if looking for something she didn't know the answer to. " what you don't understand ,Alex ? I used you to get a job nothing more.
" tell me that your in love with me as much as I love you".
No I ..don't ...,love ... u ..Alex I said looking him straight in the eyes. He looked away .. then safe travels Lacey .
Deep breaths
I did it for his own good paul will hurt him to get back at me. The look of anguish and fury clouded his eyes as she gazed into them one last time.
