Wait... what was going on? Did they know each other?

I watched as Rowan's eyes became as big as saucers and I heard Daniel's breath hitch. They were just staring at each other, taking each other in, soaking up the fact that they were suddenly standing in front of each other.

That was when I realised. How was this possible? There were so many Daniels out there why would I ever think that it could be the same person?

After a couple of minutes of back-and-forth gazes of disbelief Rowan slowly walked around the bar and stopped in front of Dan.

"Danny, is that really you?" She whispered, her throat dried and hoarse.

"Shit. Baby sis," Daniel gasped.

He bent over and picked up Rowan. He was taller than her and a very well-built guy. I watched him spin her around with ease as she wrapped her arms around his neck and tucked her head into his chest.

A smile of pure happiness but also a hint of shock laced Dan's face as he came to a stop and placed Rowan back down onto the floor.

I was in total disbelief

I was in total disbelief. When I first caught sight of Danny I thought there was no way it could be him. He had gotten taller, in fact, he must be at least six foot two because he was slightly taller than Aidan. His hair was lighter than mine, almost dirty blond with hints of brown and he had filled out massively, now I knew who Aidan's gym buddy was.

I placed my hand on his cheek that I barely reached and looked into his eyes, the same crystal ocean blues I have, it was like looking into a mirror.

"It's you, it's really you," I heard him say as he looked down at me with a massive smile which resembled a cat that got the cream.

"What are you doing here?" How did you know I was here?" I reiterated.

"I didn't. I came for..." he trailed off when the realisation hit him, "do you work here?"

I nodded back, "yes, I can't believe my luck that you should walk into this bar."

"Rowan..." I heard Aidan's soft voice from the other side of the bar but was cut off when Danny finished the sentence for him.

"Your boss is one of my best friends," I pulled my hand away from his cheek as my mouth dropped to the floor. I suddenly put all the pieces together but it wasn't confirmed until I heard the sound of Avery's scream.

Her heavy and fast steps echoed across the wooden floor as she ran over to Danny. Avery jumped into his arms like in some romantic scene from a film and threw her legs around his waist. Danny's face was plastered with kisses and Avery's arms clutched around his neck, they gave each other the most loving smile before their lips collided with each other.

I couldn't tear my eyes away from them, they were kissing hard and passionate with not a care in the world that the people around them were watching.

After a minute Avery pulled away to say something to Aidan and Danny gave me a shy smile. "We'll catch up tomorrow. You'll be here, yeah? Then I'll explain everything."
