Long Time No See

Chapter 5

Sonic had almost made it through his day. Just one more class for that day. Biology Lab. One of Sonic's worst subjects. He walked into the lab and saw Shadow sitting a one of the tables.

'At least there's someone I can talk to.' Sonic thought as he sat next to Shadow. "Hey." He greeted.

"Hey, hows your day going?" Shadow asked.

"Fine, I can already tell, calculus is going to be the death of me." Sonic joked.

Shadow let out a small laugh. But then he remembered what happen this morning. He blushed and went silent.

Sonic saw his expression and felt kind of awkward. He tapped Shadow on the shoulder. And Shadow looked at him.

"Im sorry about what happened this morning. I should of asked if you were..getting dressed." Sonic whispered, not wanting to embarrass Shadow more.

"It's fine, honestly it was bound to happen someday. It's kinda hard to not see stuff like that when we live together now." He whispered back.

"Okay class, I'm Professor Flemington. I'll be your Professor for the semester. I'd like to start with our syllabus and projects." A male purple fox wearing a blue dress shirt and black pants said as he entered the lab.

(An Hour Later)

"Okay class, a special project is due in 4 weeks. I suggest that you do this with a partner. It is a lot of paper work, research, and constructing you'll need to do. Check the syllabus for any remaining questions. That will be all for today." Professor Flemington.

Everyone in the class started to make their way out of the lab.

"Hey Shadow, you done for today?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go get a coffee with me in the cafe?"

"Sure, do you mind if I bring Scourge?" Shadow asked.

Sonic obviously didn't want that at all. But he knew he couldn't say no. "I don't mind. Whatever makes you comfortable." Sonic smiled.

"Thanks, let me call him and we can go." Shadow said pulling out his phone.

(A few minutes later)

Sonic and Shadow arrived at the cafe and ordered their coffees and Scourge's. They found a booth and sat down.

"Have you thought of any ideas for the Lab project?" Sonic asked.

"Maybe, the syllabus says we can choose any topic as long as it's a science. I thought about doing about mental disorders, you know, psychology." Shadow suggested.

"Cool, I have no idea about mine. Maybe we could partner up? Their are a lot of mental disorders. I bet we could get it done pretty quick if we do it together." Sonic noted.

"That could work. It would take a lot less stress off me. Sure."

"Awesome, So what kind of disorders are wanting to talk about?"

"Maybe the differences in each one, or-"

"What are you two talking about?" A voice asked.

The two hedgehogs saw Scourge standing beside the booth.

"Hey Scourge, how was your day?" Shadow greeted as he made room for his boyfriend.

"Boring as always babe. Just surviving until I get my degree." Scourge answered as he kissed Shadow's cheek.

"So what's going on?" Scourge asked.

"Sonic and I were talking about of Lab project that were working on together." Shadow answered.

"You trying to steal my stripes huh blue?" Scourge laughed.

"We're just friends Scourge. Don't worry about it." Sonic rebuttals.

"Don't tease him Scourge." Shadow stated.

"He's used to being teased by me babe. Isn't that right Blue? Remember? When we were kids?" Scourge teased some more.

Sonic rolled his eyes. "Don't bring that up Scourge."

"Bring up what?" Shadow asked.

"Nothing Sh-"

"Ya see babe, Blue and I were friends when we were kids and I would tease the heck out him. Especially after this one time in 3rd grade where he pissed him-"

"Shut up Scourge!" Sonic barked.

"Jeez Blue calm yourself. You were always so sensitive!" Scourge said.

Sonic had enough and walked off.

"Sonic!" Shadow called.

"Don't worry about him babe. He's always been like that. That's why I'm not friends with him anyone. Blue got me expelled from one of our old schools. So who cares about him." Scourge argued.

"But That still wasn't nice Scourge. He's my friend!" Shadow said.

Scourge got in Shadow's face. "You saying you trust him over me?" He whispered in an angry voice.

Shadow got submissive and back himself to the back of the booth. "N-No Scourge, your my boyfriend, I love you." He said with a little fear in his voice.

"Then don't fight with me. Trust me and only me baby." Scourge said and kissed him on the lips.

Shadow kissed back and then broke the kiss when he saw the waiter coming.

The waiter was a white mouse girl wearing a green sweater and black leggings. "Okay, I've got one caramel frappe, one vanilla bean, and one black coffee extra cream." 

"That's us." Shadow said as the waiter placed the drinks down.

The waiter left and Scourge took a sip of his black coffee. "I like my coffee the same way I like my boyfriend~" Scourge teased.

Shadow blushed and giggled. "That's sweet Scourge." Shadow kissed Scourge's cheek. Shadow looked at Sonic's frappe and felt bad about what Scourge revealed about him.
