Chapter 12: [Phantasmal Sword Fafnir]

[Control room, Sub-Headquarters]

As soon as the test was over the organizer led Kanzaki and Isabelle at the control room

As soon as he arrived the head Chief Oliver told him the reason why he's been called

"So your telling me that no matter the result of the test, I would be automatically be registered as a member?" Asks Kanzaki

"That's right! I told you I got my ways"
Said Oliver seemingly proud to himself

"Then what was all the training I've been doing all this time? Wasn't that for this test?" Argued Kanzaki

"Well a small part of that... But the real reason is so that you can somehow fight when you receive a mission" pointed out Oliver

"Really it all happened so fast!" Muttered Kanzaki

As they were conversing Oliver noticed Isabelle

"So by the way who's the girl?" Asks Oliver

"Huh! Oh right!" Said Kanzaki as he remembered Isabelle was also dragged here

But the soon as he turned around he saw Isabelle trembling and shock at the same time

"Isabelle-san?" Prod Kanzaki

"Wha... How..... How can you speak so easily to the Head Chief like it was nothing?" Asks Isabelle seemingly bewildered

For her the position Head Chief is the top position in the Sub-Headquarters in Grandora, so Oliver was much like a celebrity in the organization

"Why? Well..... He is the one who personally told me to join this organization" explained Kanzaki

"Im... Impossible the.....the Head Chief personally invited you? Kanzaki..... Just who are you?" Asks Isabelle as she can't accept the reality that Kanzaki was someone important

"Well..... I'm just an ordinary guy!" Answered Kanzaki

"No way! An ordinary guy got close to the Head Chief? No wait! Your a Chaos Eye User just like me..... Does that mean you surpass me even in that?" Said Isabelle as she backed away

Upon seeing this Kanzaki glanced at Oliver and pleaded for help

"Hays! Well can't be helped..... Sanaguchi explain it to her" ordered Oliver

"Right!... Isabelle-chan right?.... The thing is.... The reason why Kanzaki is someone important to the organization is because we believe that he has something that the chaos being fear" explained Sanaguchi

Upon hearing that Isabelle glanced at Kanzaki

"They fear?" She asks

"Yes! But we still don't know what is it.... But because of this Kanzaki is kept being chased by the chaos beast until he is confirmed dead so that's why the organization thinks that Kanzaki is an important person" added Sanaguchi

"Is that true? About you being chased by the chaos being?" Asks Isabelle clearly feels sorry for Kanzaki

"Well it is true but somehow I haven't seen any chaos being around me for three months" wondered Kanzaki

"Well it's because we're killing them so that's the reason why you haven't seen them for so long" answered Oliver

"Ah I see! Sorry for the trouble" said Kanzaki as he bowed down

Upon realizing her mistake in criticising Kanzaki Isabelle also apologized

"Me too sorry for the misunderstanding" she said as she bowed down
