Chapter 18: [After Effects]

[Medical Bay, Sub-Headquarters]

The fight against the assault from the chimera has ended and the city was saved with some casualties but even though the battle has ended the chaos breakers are still in a lookout to see if there are any kind of attacks that may happen again

After the battle has ended many units either users or military all around the city felt fatigue but the most affected of all are the users who fought the chimera and it's chaos beings up close and that includes Jinwoo, Ryuuji, Richard, Kanzaki

Among all the four the most tired of all is Kanzaki himself, not only did he temporarily used a hint of his second ability but also by using it for a few minutes it caused him to feel tired than he usually does that resulted to him falling unconscious after the battle

As an aftermath of the battle all supporters were quite busy in conducting elaborate current statistics of the users their in charge of

Because of kanzaki's performance during the battle, the higher-ups discussed some things and made decisions on what to do about kanzaki's aforementioned second ability which is already known to many higher-ups.... For the reason that it was clearly displayed that it easily overpowered a chimera and making all lower chaos east around it feel scared........ In the end they decided that they should do wait and watch tactic

A day has passed since the fight as kanzaki himself opened his eyes he saw a ceiling in white that he himself have never seen before

Because Kanzaki has regained consciousness a voice of a girl rung out beside him

"Kanzaki?"

When he turned to look at the owner of the voice he saw Isabelle sitting at the chair beside him

"Kanzaki your finally awake! Thank goodness your okay!" Said Isabelle

"Huh? Where am I?" Groaned Kanzaki

"No don't suddenly move.... Your in a medical Bay at the Sub-Headquarters" replied Isabelle

"Wha... What am I doing here?" Asked Kanzaki

"Well you did pass out after the fight" explained Isabelle

"Pass out?"

When Kanzaki heard this he tried to remember what happened to him after he passed out

"I... I don't remember a thing after seeing you guys get raided in the restaurant" said Kanzaki while holding his head

"Can't remember? Kanzaki you saved us! Don't you remember?" Asked Isabelle worriedly

"Sorry but I can't" apologized Kanzaki

As they were contemplating this Sanaguchi himself entered the room where Kanzaki was located at

"I see that your already awake!" He exclaimed

"Sir. Sanaguchi" said Kanzaki

"Ah! Can you drop the honorifics I prefer if you call me the same way you called me when we first met" said Sanaguchi

Apparently Sanaguchi himself dislike calling him with honorifics for some reasons

"I see" replied Kanzaki

"So are you fine already?" Asked Sanaguchi

"Well yeah! Somehow my fatigue seem non-existent anymore" answered Kanzaki

"Ah! That's because of our medical Bay" added Sanaguchi

"Is that so! Well it seems to quite expensive" said Kanzaki
