Chapter 128: [Fear]

[Ryuuji's mansion,London, United Kingdom]

Seeing what just happened towards one of the attacker, as he suddenly turned into a dried up corpse in a just a few seconds, Ryuuji was then fully sure that the enemy would literally not let go of their target due to the fact that it instantly killed one of their allies

Unfortunately no matter what he do, having someone here that is quite troublesome already in terms of ability, will not make the task of protecting Claire as easier than it should be

With that not taking any seconds for the enemy to quickly react to the situation, Ryuuji then quickly took huge strides towards Claire as he tried his best to get to her before the enemy does himself

However Victor wasn't that kind of a person who would get shocked by the sudden turn of events which is out of his expectations, on the contrary instead of being shocked on what happen to one of his allies right before his eyes, he was ever more concentrated on their groups target and judged her as someone that he must capture no matter the cost

Due to that when he saw Ryuuji quickly sprinting towards the target, he then quickly controlled the gravity around him and pulled him out to the air and threw him towards the backyard of his own mansion, which is quite a distance away from the target herself

Successfully throwing away his opponent, Victor then didn't spend any more time in dilly dallying as he quickly picked up Claire into the air using his own gravity ability and quickly left the mansions premises

As he made his escape, he then saw Claire's face as it was filled with an expression as one of the symptoms of a kind of trauma for a child, after all she did kill a person with her very own hands and her very own power, thus her being traumatized by the event was already a given fact

Perpetrator trauma, also known as perpetration- or participation-induced traumatic stress (both abbreviated PITS), occurs when the symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are caused by an act or acts of killing or similar horrific violence

Perpetrator trauma is similar but distinct from moral injury, which focuses on the psychological, cultural, and spiritual aspects of a perceived moral transgression which produces profound shame

Indications from all studies that have considered the question of severity have indicated that symptoms tend to be more severe for those who have killed than for other causes of traumatization

Mostly in this day and age the most frequent people that acquire such traits are the soldiers that are fighting against the other world monsters or in other term "Chaos beings", nevertheless such people are all adults who can take care of themselves if push comes to shove

Unfortunately that wasn't the case for Claire, seemingly that she is just a child who doesn't have much insight of the true circumstances of the world, such an event was truly a huge impact on her life, thus causing her to suddenly blank out and shows symptoms of being traumatized

Despite that Victor kept a straight face as he walked away and ended up in the streets, but just as he was about to get away from the mansion's sight down the road he then unexpectedly came face to face with Arthur and the whole members of the white knight group

Upon seeing that Claire was within the clutches of their enemy, Arthur together with Roland and Joana suddenly turned their gaze towards Ryuuji's mansion from afar and saw the devastating appearance of the whole place

Putting two on two together with the mansion being destroyed and Claire on the clutches of their enemy, they then concluded that Ryuuji and his helper Greg had failed to protect the girl and most likely unconsciousness at this current moment

Arriving at that conclusion Arthur drew his sword Excalibur(he named his weapon after the famous sword of British myth) as he pointed it towards Victor

Alongside him both Joana also perked up her Aegis(shield of the gods) while Roland drew out his sword Durandal(named after the famous sword of French mythology)

As they took out their weapon, they then begun to question Victor in anger as they saw Claire's traumatized expression

"What did you do? Answer me!!!" Asked  Arthur

"...."

Receiving no reply whatsoever towards the opponent right in front of them, Arthur then gritted his teeth as he pinyed his sword towards Victor

"Not gonna answer? Fine! I'll force it out of you!"

As he said this both Arthur and Roland quickly ran up towards Victor in incredible speed as they dashed to each of his side and slash their sword at both front and back, but before their sword could hit their target Victor simply lifted his whole body into the air using instant reverse gravitational pull in his own self and landed quite some distance away from them using an ordinary gravitational pull to the ground

But Arthur wasn't finished yet, upon noticing that his target has dodged his initial strike, he instantly appeared before his new location and started hacking his sword towards Victor in every possible angle

Unfortunately Victor at that time was able to coat his whole body with some sort of hardened gravity barrier around himself and was able to block Arthur's sword slashes with his bare hands, no matter how many slashes Arthur makes, he was able to easily block them all

After that he took a chance to grab ahold of Arthur's sword as he dragged the tip below his waist and attempt to pull him in his range of attack, but before he could deliver a single attack, Roland quickly came in from the side as slashed his sword towards him, which literally aimed for his neck

Due to that circumstances Victor was forced to dodge the attack and completely disrupt his rhythm of the current battle, but before he could stabilize himself Joana from afar sent out numerous energy bullet towards him as she bombarded him with her own attack and trying to pin him down in one place

At the same time both Arthur and Roland took this opportunity that was given by Joana as they came in close towards Victor's proximity and deliver a cross slash across his chest, causing the person to be thrown back by this attack and glare at them with his own eyes

With that the initial confrontation between them that finally started in those few exchanges that they made
