Chapter 175 : [Operation Spearhead Part 2 (Moscow)]

After taking care of the 'rabbit, the aircraft hovering in the air then slowly descended down back to the ground as the agents moved for the medical supplies stored within the carrier. After all there were a lot of injured individuals from this encounter with a chaos being, thus it was only natural that medical attention was needed for every person who clashed against the creature up close.

To be exact Kanzaki was the person who needed medical attention out of everyone present in the area. Aside from the massive burden his eyes, veins, and brain suffered from numerous death foresight, even his body itself was damaged internally from taking heavy blows straight up from the chaos being. He even almost suffered suffocation from drowning when the 'rabbit' threw him to the water and deliberately pummeled him down numerous times.

As for the other agents, they only suffered minor injuries as light treatment was applied for everyone who needed it.

In fact while being treated by Alice who somehow looked worried from the bloodstain around Kanzaki's eyes, Isabella was currently giving him some heads up regarding the injuries within his body. After some light scolding coming from her, Isabella also comforted him for a job well done as she begun talking about counter measures for Kanzaki's ability.

After all the internal injuries he had suffered this time was no joke and the consequence of his foresight ability towards his body is slowly becoming a common occurrence, which is not good at all for the person who wields such ability.

The foresight ability is an ability to predict or the action of predicting what will happen or be needed in the future. Since the future itself is quite complex and is also uncertain due to numerous futures branching out from any possibility in the present, the foresight ability would naturally be able to see numerous future ahead due to a certain action that people will take in the present.

So since seeing the future is equivalent from the future sending information of the time to the present, information overload is something that is unavoidable to a ever changing future. Its like having information rushed to your head times 100 at the same time. Th organ that suffered the most from this information overload is the brain itself and having a damaged brain could also lead to death.

This is the sole reason why numerous people who had foresight ability often lives in secluded area which had less people to no people at all. By living a life of a hermit, they would be able to prevent their foresight ability from activating unconditionally and only use it whenever necessary.\

But at most cases, people who had such ability often tends to commit suicide from having their mentality break down from an inevitable depression. Almost all of the people who had foresight ability would one day suffer from the six stages of depression. So to sum it up foresight ability can be either a curse or a blessing on how one will use it.

With such burden, Isabelle offered numerous choices that Kanzaki can pick in order to actually master and control the use of his chaos ability. Of course such thing are naturally choices she found on the net, but since such practices are yet still in theory and not actually proved as true, it was quite hard for Kanzaki to even choose one from the numerous choices he was given.

In the end he planned to consult Sanaguchi, the commander and overseer of the polar team/ dormitory for such cases related to his own foresight ability. 

While the recuperation of the whole group was underway, the remaining two commanders on the other hand were discussing something related to the case that they had encountered today. After laying down the body of their dead colleague, they then begun to ponder on how to report such situation back at the checkpoint towards their superiors.

However thankfully they're not the only one who encountered some trouble along the way. In fact the other two groups that are assigned to the other suspected checkpoints were also under attacked and suffered casualties on their side. Due to that, explaining towards their superiors that their intel regarding the three suspected sites as a fake wouldn't be troublesome at all.

In that moment some of the people in their group seemed to receive message from their supporters that some of their teammates who were assigned on a different place was either killed in duty or heavily injured. Upon receiving such news, some of the guys in the group then broke down into tears  as they somehow mourned for their loss.

The relationship they had for the fallen may not be clear, but it was easy to tell how deep their bond was due to how they reacted from such news.

After awhile coincidentally, their superiors in the border checkpoint then actually called them first as they begun passing the message through their encoded calls. The moment the commanding officer's received the call, various emotions and expressions spread out on their faces as the information they received clearly shocked them greatly.

Quite curious on why the commanding officers had made such expressions, Kanzaki silently listened in the call as he learned of such information which also shocked him senselessly. Soon after the commanding officers present then called the whole group to gather towards them for the information to be known  towards everyone.

With a serious face, Commanding officer Zhang then spoke out.

"I thank you all for cooperating for this operation, i really do.... you guys have proven your worth throughout the time that we had spend, with that i can truly say that you lot aren't just simply civilians playing soldiers, you yourself are really a bonafide soldeir... However I'm sorry to say that your service wouldn't be needed from her on out.... so i will commence this operation spearhead to be over and all of you lot are dismissed"

Upon hearing his words, some of the agents grew confused on the matter as they begun voicing out their thoughts.

"What the hell is this? is it over? is that it?"

"It ended just like that? tell us how did it end?"

"Yeah! give us a plausible explanation after all this hardships we went through"

Hearing their thoughts, commanding officer Chen then stood up and explained the situation.

"Apparently someone found out the exact location of  the terrorist group, and it wasn't from any of the three groups assigned in this spearhead operation but rather someone who was on duty in a certain city in Russia..."

After that she continued.

"The terrorist group is apparently hiding within plains sight, they were sighted present in Moscow this morning having a break from one of the tops of the building.... upon sighting the terrorist group, the agent who saw them quickly took a picture for proof and alarmed the superiors in the borders checkpoint, as for what happened to the agent after losing contact with him, one can only imagine what had transpired after that fortuitous encounter"

"With that your service is no longer needed and this whole group will be dismissed" ended by commanding officer Zhang, which caused various reaction from all the agents present.
