Chapter 67: [Life And Death]

[Outskirts, China]

Hiding in his own base that only him knew, Argie was busy on doing something and researching something as the commotion broke out in someplace else

Currently he was inside his room reading some of the thick books in which he has questions upon together with the girl child that he kidnapped in California

For some reason the girl child named Claire was quite a curious little child which was understandable on her own case as a person who spent most of her time inside a white room

Soon after just as he closes the book that he was reading, Claire however noticed Argie's movements thus she automatically closed her own book that she was reading and headed straight to him

Seeing this Argie couldn't help but have a heavy sigh as he walk over the desk and lazily dropped the book on top of it

With that he turned around as he headed straight for his lab

But after walking awhile Claire suddenly took a hold of the Hem of his coat

"Can... I come?" She asked him nicely

Hearing that Argie arched up into a smile as he replied

"Well it's perfect I was about to call you later on but it seemed that you wanted to come with me... . . Well anyway it saves me time to go back here" shrugged Argie as he allowed her to follow him

Hearing that Claire somehow felt happy all of the sudden as she hurriedly tidied all things up

After tydying it she eventually come with him towards his lab

When they got there the very first thing Claire saw were tubes after tubes container littering the table, followed by stuff that is used by many things of the scientist in the past

After that they were also five containers each containing different types of chimera that he himself has designed and created

But the most eye catching of all is the huge spherical sphere container in which it was covered at the back of five tube container

This particular container somehow was containing a human like chimera that was out of this world even for a madman like Argie himself

At first Claire was curious about this chimera but soon lost interest as such body didn't even move an eyelid, for her reading books was much more interesting than looking at an artificial body which has no soul in it

Afterwards Argie came over as he pulled a needle from the drawer

"Oi brat! I want you to sit, I'm going to get some blood from you" said Argie

"Blood? Why?" Asked Claire

"Of course to see if there is actually cause and effect if I did some sort of my own personal theory" he said while fixing the injection

"Will it hurt?" she asked

"Do you feel hurt when being pricked?" Asked back Argie

"Nope! I've lost my sense of touch after being pricked by a lot of those things" answered Claire honestly

"Then you won't feel a little bit hurt" said Argie nonchalantly

After that he pricked the needle on her arm and took some substantial amount of blood as he pulled it out and went over his desk

After being curious about such process Claire suddenly spoke up as she asked

"Why does people like my blood? My blood doesn't even taste good! I once tried to lick my own blood but it task like a rusted metal" said Claire
