My bag contains two thick books - really thick books. Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook is for sure heavy. Kaya nga nagpapatulong ako lagi kay Kuya David na bitbitin iyon. Pero ngayon, si Iain ang may hawak. I'm not sure if I should just let him have it or if I should take it back. Parating na naman yata 'yon si Kuya... natagalan lang.

"Akin na. Nandiyan naman ang sundo ko," sabi ko at tinuro ang bag ko na hawak niya. He doesn't seem to be bothered by the weight of it. Ang bigat kaya ng mga libro ko!

"Wala naman akong nakikita," he said and I almost rolled my eyes.

"Parating na. Give it back to me. I can manage."

"Sure, you can. I saw you struggling. What with your laptop, bag and these heavy books."

For someone so busy, he's so observant of my struggles. Kanina, nakita niya na naguguluhan ako sa machine problem ni Lee... Ngayon naman, napansin niya na nahihirapan ako sa mga bitbit ko.

"Why do you insist on being so helpful anyway?"

The words slipped my mouth before I could even process it. What the hell, Sonia? You sound so... rude!

Iain smirked. "I told you I want to be friends with you, right? This is me trying to be friends with you."

"Kinukulang ka pa ba sa kaibigan?"

I'm sure he has a lot of friends. He's friendly. I saw him once when he passed by the hallway near our department. May kakilala siya sa kada grupong nakakasalubong. Not to sound exaggerated pero iyon ang naobserbahan ko. Maybe it's because he's smart so everybody wants to be friends with him? And he looks... fine. Kaya panigurado habulin din ng babae.

I saw how Iain tried hard to suppress a smile. What's so amusing now?

"No. I just want-" he was cut off when his cousin showed up. They share the same features. Only that Austin Javier is taller. He glanced at me first then to Iain. Kasunod niya ay 'yong iba rin yata nilang blockmates.

"Exam will start in five minutes," his cousin said. May inabot din siya na itim na backpack kay Iain.

"Tama na porma, dude. Exam muna," sabi noong isang lalaki sa grupo nila. Kasunod noon ay ang tawanan ng ilan pa nilang kasama. I saw how Iain flicked his middle finger at them. I almost winced at the gesture.

May sinabi si Iain sa pinsan niya na hindi ko narinig. May inabot din siya na susi. After that, their group minus Iain, left. They used Iain's car.

"Akin na ang bag ko. May exam pala kayo."

Bakit ba siya nagpaiwan dito?

"I'll wait for your ride first," he stated.

My eyes widened. Malayo pa 'tong library sa engineering building!

"No!" I reacted violently. "Give it back. Kaya ko naman 'yan, e."

Where is Kuya David? Ugh!

"I insist."

Damn it!

"Malapit na magsimula ang exam ninyo! Besides I can just put the bag down while waiting." Hindi na bale na puti ang bag ko at may possibility na marumihan pa kung ilapag ko sa medyo basa at maruming sahig ng entryway ng library.

"My professor won't be mad if I arrive a little late."

"Not a nice thing to do," I said and tried to get my bag. Mabilis naman niyang nailayo iyon.
