Song for the chapter: Just One Yesterday by Fall Out Boy
________

I sat in the hot water after washing everything. The familiar heat in my eyes made me hurt more. I could feel the tears over flow, and run down my cheeks. They mixed with the hot water. I let out a small sob. Yeah, I knew I could save Coraline... I knew Osiris' thing was bringing up these feelings again. But, I couldn't help it.

I cried for a few minutes. I cried til I felt numb. When I felt all the tears were out, I shut off the water, and got out. I wrapped the towel around me, and walked out of the bathroom with my clothing. The tears were dried with the rest of my water covered skin.

I felt eyes on me as I grabbed more clothing from my duffel, and walked back into the bathroom. When I finished getting ready, I braided my long hair, and ignored the fact that it was dampening my tee shirt.

Sighing, I pulled my makeup bag out. I covered my dark circles, and blemishes. As well as finishing my other makeup routine. When I finished, I gathered my stuff, and brought it back to my bag. Again, eyes were on me. I didn't say a word, but I did just sit on the bed. I crossed my legs, and looked down at the worn out comforter.

I couldn't stop thinking about Coraline... I could've saved her... Stepped in front of the demon bitch... But did I? Nope.

I sighed, still feeling like I was numb. Nothing could touch me. I was happy where I was. Numb.. No feeling at all.

Blinking, I felt the burning sensation in my eyes again. No crying. No. Not again. Not in front of Sam and Dean.

The numbness stayed where it was. I tuned into the Winchester's conversation.

"I suppose now we go on the road... Drive around." Dean said, "I say we go to Vegas." The smirk was evident in his voice.

I felt eyes on me, "Dean, do you think she's okay?"

I sunk a little lower, and Dean looked at me, "She must be out of it. I mean, first supernatural experience with us... First hand. I'd be terrified, too."

I heard their heavy foot falls, and the side of the bed dip. I didn't move, enjoying the still numbness. But, Dean didn't like the fact that I was just... Out of it.

"Sweetheart, look at me." He directed. I kept my head down. Dean's hand touched my arm, and I flinched. He sighed, "Eliza, just answer me. Look at me, at least."

I moved my arm away. His touch made the numbing sensation disappear for a second. When it came back, I felt a little more safe... I think. I didn't feel happy... But relieved I didn't feel the pain anymore.

"Elizabeth. Hey, look at me." Dean's voice was a little bit louder.

I kept my face down.

Dean's hands came to my cheeks, making me turn my face to his, "You're worrying me. What's wrong?"

I moved my face, and looked back down. I didn't feel like answering. I just wanted to be alone. Dean groaned from beside me, and I just ignored it. All I wanted was peace and quiet.

When Dean gave up, Sam announced it was time to get back on the road. I grabbed my stuff, pulled on my tennis shoes, and walked outside with them. Since we ditched my car a long way back, I got back seat of the Impala.

I tossed my crap in the trunk, and sat in the backseat. Both Dean and Sam sat in the front, and gave a quick glance back at me. I turned in the seat, and brought my feet up. I crossed by legs, and leaned back against the window. Dean didn't argue like he did the last time.

Sam and Dean picked up a conversation in the front, while I stayed quiet.

"Eliza... We're going to take you to Bobby's. You'll be fine there." Sam said. I nodded, and he went on, "I really thought you'd reply to that."

I closed my eyes, and suddenly heard 'Wanted Dead or Alive' by Bon Jovi play through the stereo. I still just did absolutely nothing. I didn't bob my head, I didn't sing... I just kept to myself.

_____________

Within the next day or so, Dean pulled into a junkyard. When the car stopped, I got out with the brothers, and grabbed my crap from his trunk... The necessities, and clothing. The two duffels hung over my shoulder. Neither of the boys tried to talk to me after making pointless conversation during our drive. I guess they gave up. I would've stopped when I realized the person didn't talk.

The boys walked up the steps, and knocked on the door. Soon, a man that seemed to be in his mid fifties opened the door. His short beard was turning gray, and his hat covered his receding hairline. I kept my head down.

Dean and Sam gave a bro hug to the man, addressing him as Bobby. He just addressed them as Idjits.

"Who's this?" Bobby eyes landed on me.

"That's Elizabeth. She's the one that's done some traveling." Sam explained.

Bobby walked down the steps to me, pushing his hand out. I shook it, "Bobby Singer."

"Elizabeth Bailey." I said shortly.

Dean looked at Bobby, "That's the most she's said in the last day."

I sighed, not speaking, but Bobby spoke first, "I'm not exactly the most welcoming person, but you're welcome here anytime."

I nodded in thanks, walking with Bobby up to his front door.

After Bobby told me to set my stuff in one of the rooms, I stayed up in the room. I knew if I went down to the living room, I would be bombarded with personal questions I was not ready to answer. I mean, things about Coraline, yes... Not so much anything else. I mean, Dean knows about the partying after Jace left, but he didn't know Jace was my step-dad, and the rest of the stories... Like Jeremy.

Sighing, I looked at the peeling wallpaper of the wall.... The once-probably white- paper was yellowed with age. Nothing was hanging on the walls, and only a stand up mirror was to show my reflection. I looked in the mirror to find the makeup I had on was fading, and my dark circles were returning darker than before.

I walked to the bathroom just outside the door. I grabbed a cloth from the vanity, and watered it down. I washed my face, and saw what I hated. My eyes were dull, and the circles showed more. The blemishes, however, were fading. Considering the stress, I was surprised.

Once back in my room, I grabbed my purse. Grabbing my wallet, I also pulled the picture out. I had only three that I'd had since the beginning. The first was one of when My mom, Jace, Coraline and I moved into the house... I cut Jace from the picture because all he was , really, was a mistake in the picture.

Before I could flip through the next one, I heard a knock at the wall. I shuffled to put everything back into my wallet and purse. I shoved everything to the floor, and looked at the person intruder.

"You okay, Eliza?" It was Dean. He leaned up against the door frame, and had a sad look on his face.

I looked away, "I'm fine."

Dean's heavy footfalls made the floors creak. The bed dipped, and creaked a little. Sighing, I knew Dean was going to do something.

"You're not fine. Talk to me, Eliza. I don't want you to bottle this up until you explode. I know you're thinking about Coraline." he paused, "I'm bad at this chick flick moment shit. But, it wasn't your fault. Yes, you couldn't save her, but it wasn't your fault. Just talk to us. I know how it feels to not have your sibling. To watch them die. I did exactly what you're doing, and I exploded on someone who didn't deserve it. I don't want you to do the same. Plus, it really messes with the sanity."

I looked at Dean, "Sam didn't tell you what happened with Osiris, did he?"

He shook his head, and narrowed his eyes, "No, why?"

"I guess it's story time."
