Song for this chapter: Now by Paramore.

__________

The entire time Jace talked to us, he told us more about the magic Hantu-Kopek used. It wasn't really a curse... Just dark magic. A witch demon. Wonderful. But, there were other ways to stop it aside from ripping, and crushing the heart. They just weren't as... Easy. And they required the person who casts the reverse spell to give up their soul, or have no soul. Which really made me want to pull a bloody heart through a sternum and crush it with my bare hands...

Maybe hanging out with Sam and Dean made me a little more... Vulgar.

"Do you think Jace was Bullshitting us?" I asked Leon, laying on a bed of our motel.

"I don't think so. I'm pretty sure he wants revenge on the thing that killed his daughter." Leon spoke, laying on the opposite bed.

I rolled my eyes, "Such a caring father, huh?"

Leon sighed, "It's been a long day," Leon got up, and grabbed sweats from his bag, and changed, "Good night, Elizabeth."

"Lizzie."

"What?"

I rolled fully on to the bed, "Call me Lizzie."

I could hear the smirk in his voice, "Now I'm on the friend zone?"

"Don't ruin it." I said, closing my eyes, and falling asleep.

______________

The next morning, a loud banging at the door woke me up. Leon slept through it, and I was left to crawl out of bed, and open the door.

"What do you want?" I grumbled half asleep.

"Good morning, Dearie." Jace had a smirk on his face.

I rolled my eyes, and rubbed the sleep from them, "I'm not ready for your shit yet, Jace."

Without warning, Jace pushed me aside and walked in. I gumbled, and looked at my arm. The scales had spread to the middle of my bicep. The shit was spreading faster than I thought.

"What do you want?" Leon asked, getting out of the bed, and throwing on a shirt.

Jace smirked, "Well, let me just say I know how to help you contol what's going on."

My eyes widened, "You couldn't tell us this last night?"

Jace rolled his eyes, and sat on one of the chairs, "Well, we couldn't discuss that in public, now could we, Dearie?"

I walked over to Jace, and grabbed his neck, "Knock it off with the 'Dearie' crap. You know my name, and if you keep up the mysterious douche act, I will not hesitate to kill you with the knife you were going to grab from your boot. Got it, Dearie?"

Jace nodded, and I let go of his neck. I wasn't lying when I said I'd kill him. Even if I had no idea where the threat came from, I wasn't going to back down from it. Jace is a douche, therefore, if he dies, he deserves it.

"Well, I'll be straight forward. It's complicated to control this... Curse. I did my research, and the only way to control it is either mastering the power, or dying... Or killing the one who did this to you. I would say the best bet is to master this... Magic."

"Leon's helping me with that. I thought you could be useful." I growled, narrowing my eyes.

Leon looked at Jace, "If you're going to be no help, then I would say get the hell out, Mate. You have no business with Elizabeth, or myself."

I looked away from Jace, and at Leon. Before I could respond, Jace did, "Just because you have feelings for Elizabeth, does not mean you can protect her. Plus, you've got a competition with Dean Winchester."

Leon growled, and snapped at Jace, "Now you're lying. I'm trying to protect this girl. Not fall for her. If you can't help, than leave."

I had a say in whether Jace left, or stayed, "Go."

Jace was going to protest, but Leon interjected, "Leave, Jace."

Jace stood up, and walked out of the motel room. Leon slammed the door, and looked at me.

"You're lying..." I said quietly.

"I am not lying, Lizzie." He said quietly. He hung his head.

I shook my head even if he couldn't see it, "I know you are. You're not a strong liar. The fact that you're lying to me about lying, really hurts. " I grabbed my duffel bag, and keys, and walked to the door Jace just walked out of.

"Where are you going?" Leon asked... His voice sounded heart broken.

"I'm finding more help." I said ,opening the door.

I felt his hand grab my arm, and spin me around. Before I could move away, he smashed his lips to mine. I didn't struggle, but I also didn't kiss back. I felt all of the emotion come from that one kiss. It was filled with love, passion, and hurt. When the kiss did finish, I turned, and walked into someone.

"You lied..." It was Dean.

I sighed, "Dean-"

Dean shook his head, and walked back to his room. I felt tears come to my eyes. That was never supposed to happen...
