Chapter 28

Our last day on the island came and Hunter and I already packed our things 'cause we will leave later in the evening. But the two kids were crying so loud ever since we told them that we're leaving and it makes me feel so bad looking at their faces full of tears.

Napamahal na rin kasi sa akin ang dalawang bata. Personally, I don't really like kids but it depends din naman kung makulit yung bata. So, I should say that I don't like makukulit na kids instead, I think?

"Kuya Chase, huwag na po kayong umalis." humihikbing sabi ni Aira while Hunter is carrying her. He's been wiping her tears but it was futile since she won't stop crying.

"Ate Artemis, dito na lang po kayo."

I looked at Christian who's sitting beside me on the sofa. He's looking at me with pleading eyes and I can't help but to get hurt.

Last time, hindi ko pinasama sa akin si Hunter pabalik sa Manila 'cause the two were also crying hard back then. I don't want to break their hearts but I really have to go back now. My family is in Manila and I have my work. Ang tagal nga ng ibinigay sa aking leave at hindi na ako pwedeng umabuso pa.

Hunter and I looked at each other. He was standing while holding Aira in his arms. Inaalo nya ang bata na ayaw namang tumigil sa pag iyak. I sighed and looked at the little boy beside me.

"Nandoon kasi sa Manila 'yung pamilya ko, Christian. Plus, I have work pa." I said as I wiped his tears.

"Mayaman naman po si Kuya Chase." sabi ni Aira na narinig ang sinabi ko. "Hindi ka na po kailangan na mag-work." she then looked at Hunter. "Diba po, Kuya Chase? Marami ka pong pera? Hindi na po kailangan mag-work ni Ate Artemis, diba po?" paputol-putol ang pagsasalita nya dahil sa paghikbi.

"Yeah..." Hunter said and I almost rolled my eyes. Ang galing nyang mag-comfort ng bata.

"Kaya huwag na po kayong umalis. Please po, Kuya Chase!"

"Please po, Ate Artemis, dito na lang po kayo."

I looked at Hunter and I didn't know what to do. Hindi rin pala ako magaling sa pagko-comfort ng bata. Summer never acted like this. I mean, she's mature in her age and she can understand the things that's happening around her. Kaya never pa akong nakaranas na mag-comfort ng bata.

Hunter looked at me. "Huwag na daw tayong umalis."

I glared at him when the two kids looked at me expectantly. The heck is he doing?! Pinapaasa nya 'yung mga bata at kapag tumanggi ako ay ako ang magmumukhang masama sa mga mata nila! They will think that I'm taking their Kuya Chase away from them!

"Umayos ka, Hunter!" I hissed at him. Ginamitan na naman nya ako ng pagpapa-cute nya. He bit the inside of his cheeks that made his lips looked pouty.

"Can't we just stay?" he even dared to asked! Un-freaking-believable!

"Do you really believe that if we stay here, my brothers won't come? Alam kong boto sayo ang mga kapatid ko but they wouldn't let you take me away just like this!" mahinang sabi ko pero nanggagalaiti na ako sa galit.

He told me in the first place that it was just three months but now he wants us to stay? He didn't even tell me about his plan of taking me here then this?

I don't have anything against of the idea of living here. The island is breathtakingly beautiful. But I can't just decide to stay here so suddenly! I have my work, my family and my friends are in Manila! Kailangan ko munang magplano bago gumawa ng isang malaking desisyon!

Isa pa, I'm sure na hindi papayag ang mga kapatid ko!

"Don't get to their bad side, Hunter." I said.
