Chapter 34

"Thank you for flying with GE Airlines. We hope that you enjoyed your flight with us." I announced and removed the aviation headset on my head.

"Nice flight, Captain." my co-pilot said and I just smiled at him. Nauna na syang lumabas ng cockpit area and I was left alone which is a usual routine for me.

I glanced at the window and saw the passengers already entering the airport. Some were OFW's that finally have a time to be reunited with their family. And I'm sure na karamihan sa kanila ay may naghihintay na family member sa paglabas nila.

After awhile, I decided to got up from my seat and walked towards the door. But I stopped before I could turn the doorknob and heaved a deep sigh.

"Three... Two... One." I counted before I finally opened the door and walked further.

My shoulders slumped when I found the first class seats were already empty. I looked around, hoping to see that familiar face who's always waiting for me but I am all alone inside this plane.

Huminga ako ng malalim para matanggal ang sakit sa dibdib ko. I've been doing this for more than a year already. Magbibilang ako bago lumabas sa cockpit area at humihiling na sana ay makikita ko sya sa paglabas ko kagaya noon. Pero hanggang ngayon ay wala pa rin sya.

It's been exactly two years and two months since Hunter left without saying goodbye. Without saying anything. And until now, I'm still hoping that one day, he will comeback to me and I will see his smirk again. I will see his gray eyes while he's looking at me. And he will enveloped me with his warm hug as I cried my heart's out telling him that I missed him so much.

I looked up when the tears fell from my eyes. I don't want to cry since I know that Hunter will come back. Baka bumalik sya at maabutan nya akong umiiyak. I want to look beautiful when we see each other again so he'll never think of leaving me again.

Pinunasan ko ang luha ko at tinapik-tapik ang pisngi ko. I should get a hold of myself. Hindi dapat ako umiyak. Babalik si Hunter. Babalikan nya ako.

I am willing to wait for him until he's ready.

I went down with my luggage behind me. Nakisabay ako sa mga flight attendants sa paglalakad palabas ng airport. Some of them will spend the time with their family before our next flight again.

Ako? I don't know.

It's been so long since the last time that I went home at the main house. I bought my own condo kasi at doon na lang dumi-deretso everytime when my flight landed here in Manila. Hindi na ako umuuwi sa mansyon. I just don't want to talk to anyone after what happened.

Pinilit ko silang iniwasan, especially my brothers. I'm still in pain and I don't know when I'll be able to recover.

Maybe if Hunter came back.

Pinilit ako ni Apollo na magpahinga for a whole year to heal my stab wound before going back to work. Pumayag ako. Sinunod ko ang gusto nya. I really don't want to argue with him hanggang ganoon pa ang kalagayan ko.

And when I got fully recovered and got back to work, kinuha ko ang lahat ng mga international flights na ibinigay sa akin. Tinanggihan ko ang mga domestic flights. I just want to be away. I'm a mess and my heart is still in pain.

Bumagal ang paglalakad ko nang may mahagip na pamilyar na bulto at mukha mula sa second floor sa airport. I was already on the ground floor at malapit na sa exit when I saw my twin brother talking to some of the middle age man who's also wearing a business suits.

Apollo looked more and more like Kuya Helios when he's in a businessman mode. Hindi maipagkakaikalang magkapatid nga sila. He has the same aura that Kuya Helios has when he's working. And I bet that he'll be the next ruthless billionaire if he just keeps on wearing that suit.
