AT STAR LABS Chloe sat in one of the chairs besides Dr. Wells, staring intently at Barry, wondering why he looked so pissed off.
"The witness described seeing a yellow blur-" Chloe already knew where this was going, "-Just like the one that killed Barry and Chloes mother."
A small growl like noise escaped Chloes mouth, making her teammates look over as she growled out, "No. . No! H- He's not back!" Before saying softer, "That monsters not back..."
He can't be back- That thing can't be back here! Please don't remember- Please don't remember! Chloe shut her eyes tightly together.
Cisco's voice thankfully snapped her out of her thoughts, "Then we need to get cracking and stop this speed psycho." He put a candy cane in his mouth before moving his hands in a no motion, "That- I wasn't trying to give him a name."
He doesn't deserve one. Chloe thought as she stared at her shoes in fear and anger.
"The crime scene at Mercury Labs was on a floor with highly secured vaults. And the witness said he was looking for something." Barry let out taking quite quick.
"Whatever it was, he wanted it badly enough to kill for it." Dr. Wells said.
Chloe let out a dark laugh, "You know a bit of our mothers murder and you just realized that? Of fucking course he'd kill to get what he wants, I may have absolutely no idea why he murdered my mom, but how did you just realize that?"
Dr. Wells didn't answer; the team knowing any little thing may set the woman off, when Chloe got mad she'd get bitter and cold; not caring whose feelings she'd hurt in her rage.
"Doctor, what do you know about this Mercury Labs?" Joe asked, sending a glance to Chloe, looking at how she was masking her fear with anger.
Maybe she was angry but Joe could see the fear.
"Mercury Labs was one of STAR Labs' major competitors until our little set back," He explained, going on, "And then it catapulted to the forefront-" He made a sort of clapping gesture with his hands, "Led by Dr. Christina McGee. Brilliant but egocentric physicists." He pulled up a few articles.
"It says here Dr. McGee was secured half a billion dollars in private funding to develop, and I quote, "Prototypes for the technology of the future."" Cisco stated.
"Well, I'll be." Dr. Wells spoke up, "Tinas messing with tachyons, superluminal particles." He explained as Joe snapped his head to him.
"Of course. So what could someone do with one of those..." He gestured his hand around.
"Tachyons." Dr. Wells answered.
"Thank you." Joe thanked Dr. Wells waiting for an answer.
"Well, I don't know. Become invincible? If you could devise a matrix stable enough to harness their power, you could travel faster than light." Dr. Wells told them.
Both Allen's spoke up.
"That bastards trying to go faster. Isn't that a load of bullshit-" Chloe hissed.
"He's gonna try to get them again, so we need to get what Mercury has and use it as a a lure." Barry told them, his expression still slightly pissed off.
"Exactly right. Cisco, Caitlin, lets start engineering a trap." Dr. Wells looked to Chloe, "And Chloe, cool off before you help."
"You got it." Cisco said as he started moving to get to work, Caitlin always answer ring, "Of course." As Dr. Wells wheeled away.
Chloe sighed, before she looked to her team, with one thought on her mind as she slumped back into her chair. What if it doesn't work?

Oop-
I feel like I haven't updated in SOOOO LONG, but it's only been like a week or so maybe a few days idk-
But, Chloes mad and scared about The Reverse Flash so uhh plot i guess-
Sorry this is so short and such I really just wanted to get out a chapter before I finish my homework.
I have to wake up early and go to a school meeting thing because in my homeschooling program you go once a week to turn in the weeks before homework so uh yeah it's kinda confusing and my science is kicking my ass so-
Could people start commenting more? You don't HAVE too but it's nice to see if people are actually enjoying the way things are going.. And i feel like if people told me what they didn't like i could talk with them about it in the comments!
