Something must be seriously wrong if he has become serious.
"Tell me" I order growing impatient
"There is no easy way to say this" ethan begins.
"Then just say it" I tell him
"Well the thing is" logan starts followed by Ethan  "Its really not that bad" Logan then agrees "Yeah it could be worse"
"I swear to god someone better tell me what happened before I rip your tongue out

"Well you see it's not as bad as it might sound, I mean we dont even know if there is a threat" ethan states.
This was getting beyond annoying, how dare they stall for time. "Max is back" logan states seeing I was getting angry at their pathetic attempt to tell me. Max. If I wasnt angry before I am now. How dare he reappear after what he did. I will kill him and his entire family like I should have done years ago. He was a traitor and took Aria away from me.
"Boss we sont know what he wants and he might be a changed man" ethan says.
"I want him dead" I shout just as the door bell rings.
Fuck
I go to answer the door
"What the hell do you want" I shout as I open the door, not even looking at who it was.
"You called me sir"
I take a look to see it was the doctor. Then I remember harper. She was ill and all I was doing was getting angry. "Yeah, follow me" I say and show him to Harper's room. "She wasnt feeling well yesterday but I wasnt around, anyway she seemed better this morning but after we had breakfast I went to check on her and she wasnt well at all, she was fast asleep burning up" I tell him as we walk.
We enter her room and worry fills me as I see her bed empty. Where was she. "Harper " i call out. Thankfully I get a weak response "in here " it came from the bathroom. We walk to it and that's when I see Harper. She was sat on the floor clutching the toilet. I rush to her and grab her hair, pulling it out the way as she goes to puke. "I got you,  you're gonna be ok" I tell her as I hold her hair and rub her back. After a few more minutes I pour her some water which she gladly drinks. "Harper this is the doctor, he is gonna take a quick look at you" I say helping her to thr bed. "Will you stay" she asks looking at me pleadingly. I had work to to do and wanted to say no but I couldnt. Instead I sat down next to her and held her hand.
The doctor then got to work, I notice she flinched every time he touched her and often she would look at me for reassurance. Something happened to her I could tell that the abuse she had suffered was far worse than anything I had seen before.
"Well sir luckily she has just got a common sickness bug, she should be ok in a few days, make sure she stays hydrated and eats, she should be fine in a few days. If you notice anything worrying dobt hesitate to bring her in" the doctor tells me. "Thank you for you're time" I thank him, relieved that it was nothing serious.  "No worries, I'll see myself out" and then he was gone. I turn to Harper,  her complexion was sickly and she had dark circles under her eyes. Why had I not seen this morning. "Sorry sir" she whispers. I was confused at this, what was she sorry for. I was about to ask but she carried on as if she knew what I was about to ask "for being a  inconvenience" it saddened me that she thought this. "Harper you are not a inconvenience, I need to go talk to logan and Ethan and I will bring you some lunch up once I'm done. Try get some rest" I tell her and she responds by pulling the duvet over her and getting comfy. "Goodnight" she mumbles. I couldnt help but chuckle, as it wasnt night time, she was too cute. "Goodnight harper" I tell her and leave the room. I tell myself that she will be ok and head towards the kitchen.
"How is she" ethan asks
"Common illness, she should be ok in a few days" I reply
"That's good, about max..." logan replies.
"Not now, max can wait" I suprise myself with my response and probably them too. "I want you to monitor the situation unless something happens we wont do anything,  for now" I tell him.
I couldnt attack now, I had harper to look after and her getting better was my main priority.
