When they arrived at the greenhouses, they were amazed. There was so many new things to see and look at! There were plants everywhere! And I mean, everywhere.

Their teacher was a plump woman, and gentle looking. Her name was Professor Sprout. She had rosy cheeks,a red nose and short,curly greying hair.

She told them all sit where they desired. She mentioned seating wouldn't matter in her class considering they would be moving around quite a lot. Instinctively, James sat next to Sirius. And Remus, instead of doing what he usually did, say next to Lily opposite them. Peter had gone off with some Hufflepuff girl they did not know.

"Hello Evans," James smirked, he learnt her name was Lily Evans from Remus. " you are sure looking nice today, " He said, Remus and Sirius giggled at his tone. He was trying to make his voice sound deeper. Atleast, that was what it sounded like. "Hello Potter," She rolled her eyes and turned to Remus, engaging him in a conversation about a new book she had bought from the library.

"If only she liked me more than books," James sighed.
"Maybe next time mate," Sirius patted him on the back as Professor Sprout started to talk.
"Hello everybody! You may know me as the head of Hufflepuff, and if you do not..my name is Professor Sprout!" She said happily. "Today..we will be unearthing Mandrakes! Now can anybody tell me what Mandrakes are for?" She asked. Remus raised his hand.
"Yes Mr Lupin, "
"Mandrakes are used to bring people,who have been petrified, back to there original state..although their scream can be deadly to anyone who heard it," He recited to her, remembering everything from his book.
" Well done! Ten points to Gryffindor! " She smiled, and so do everyone else in Gryffindor - causing Remus to turn a shade of pink.

"Now..please put on your earmuffs!" She said. Once they had all put them on, she spoke again. "Now before we start...you must keep them on at all times until the end of the lesson or I myself say so you must also grab it firmly and pull hard, once you are done deposit  it in the bin next to you," She said.

They all prepared themselves and gripped their Mandrakes hard. "On the count of three...one...two...three!" She yelled and they all tugged hard. Suddenly, a horrible noise filled the room. Screaming.

They all quickly put them in their bins and Professor Sprout came around and silenced them all. She signalled that they could remove their earmuffs.

The entire class eagerly removed them, they were not comfy at all. "Now how was that?" Professor Sprout smiled. All of the class muttered words along the lines of ' amazing' 'fantastic' and 'my ears hurt'.

The marauders themselves were actually quite perplexed - they had never experienced something like that before.

Soon, the bell rang for the next period and the professor told them all to pack away and take off their aprons and put their earmuffs away.

Once they had all finished, they gathered around the front of the class ready to be missed. Then Peter headed up to James,Remus and Sirius. "C-can we take them off now?" He asked timidly.They all laughed "Yes Peter," Remus said, not laughing like the other but giggling none the less.

They all left the classroom, they all had a break next so they decided to head up to the dorms to relax until their finale two classes afterwards.

When they got to the dormitories Remus had an idea. "Hey guys...what if we take a price of parchment and all write out first impressions of each other on it and then read them aloud and then write out impressions now...we could do this every year to see if our thoughts about each other has changed," He said.
"That's a brilliant idea Remus! " Sirius said.
"I'll go get my spare parchment," James said jumping off his bed and digging into his trunk under his bed.
