tiny mistake, new readers just ignore this and read on, but, I accidentally said that it was the Easter holidays but it's actually the christmas holidays - I've edited it now! so sorry! <3

That day was probably the best day ever for some of the slytherins. All the gryffindors were mad and I mean FURIOUS.

You see, gryffindors are lions, they stick together - they are a pride. So, when one was mad (aka lily) - they all were! And it wasn't just them. All of the ravenclaws were against them and mad too. They automatically to the gryffindors side since they lost to the syltherins last quidditch finals.

And, some hufflepuffs too.

But this didn't seem to stop them all does laughing their arses off at Remus and Lilys's constant struggle from being egged on to kiss every five minutes.

They weren't even together! And worst of all, Remus liked guys! Most guys, he was bi but basically gay.

He wasn't open about it that much, but due to his flag above his bed, the three boys knew. And of course, they didn't care one bit.

But the struggle continued.

Although, it was a week until christmas  break so that was good!

He was so excited! Christmas with Evans!

Petunia would be there, but he was with them all the same so in the end he really didn't care.

He wouldn't have to spend Christmas at home which was a huge blessing. He hated Christmas at home. All it meant was that he didn't have to have a microwave meal  - instead a donated turkey from the local food bank and Christmas pudding.

Everyone would be bragging about there amazing christmases. But he was grateful anyways. He was lucky to even have parents.

"Come on Alice! You've got to help me find out who helped Rita with that article!" Lily whined.

"Jesus christ Lily. ..we aren't going to find anything interesting, " Alice said.

"You only don't want to because your hoping to have a quick chat with Frank," She huffed.

Alice blushed a light pink and looked away, "no of course not."

" Yes, yes of course that's the reason! Please help me, I've already asked Mary,Dorcas, Marlene and practically every girl in our year! " She groaned.

"Why don't you just go find out with Remus? Wouldn't that make more sense," She asked.

" We...well...I'm a little embarrassed to be around him..after what happened, " Lily said.

"Right listen Lily I've got to tell you something...Remus isn't going to think of you any differently but nor is he going to like you...he kissed you because you needed it, he told me," She finished with a sigh.

" I know ok! I just really like him and I have for ages and I know he won't feel any differently about me but that's what's so great about him! He doesn't care who you are or whatever you do to him he'll accept you no matter what, anyone and everyone, " She ranted.

"I understand your struggle...Frank doesn't even know my name," Alice said.

"Um, yeah he does, " Came a voice from the other side of the room, Remus, and he was grinning - causing Alice to blush even redder.

"R-really?"

" Ugh, your all he ever talks about! " Remus groaned and sat down next to her.

"Hi Rem, " Lily said shyly.

"Hey Lils, how are you ?" He asked,seeming not even the tiniest bit nervous.

" G -good, " She grinned sheepishly.

He laughed and rolled his eyes affectionately before turning back to Alice. "Literally, it's Alice this Alice that....he's absolutely marbles about you, love," He laughed at her reaction.

"Your kidding!"

"No!" He giggled, he always fitted in with them, it warmed his heart that tiniest bit more every time.

The pair began a new conversation and Lily drifted into the back round. Even though she knew Remus would never judge her for her feelings, it still hurt to no they would never be returned. Truly anyways.

You see, she had liked Remus ever since they were nine - for two years! And it broke her heart to know that one day, he would get a boyfriend or girlfriend. And then, She would finally have to accept she never will have a chance. And never had.

Maybe it was Potter. God she hated him so much.

Remus shouldn't put off his feelings for her because of him (if there were any)! She was furious! Yet, arguing with him would upset Remus - and that was the opposite of what he wanted or needed right now.

She just hoped whoever he decided to settle down with. They would treat him right. She hoped, prayed.

And maybe, just maybe, if she hoped, wished and prayed hard enough, it would be her.

But for now, all she had was her imagination.

And that was good enough for now.

Meanwhile, James was distraught.

He hadn't meant to upset her. God, he LOVED her. Why would be ever want to hurt her in any way!

She was so stubborn sometimes!

Yet, he loved her too much to care.

He sighed.

"Everything alright mate?" Sirius said, concerned.
"Yeah..why'd you ask? " James said, obviously lying through his teeth.
"That's defiantly a lie, and listen, if it's about Remus and Lily...Remus doesn't like her! You still have atleast half a chance! Why give up yet!" Sirius replied.

"Who said I was giving up? It's just...what does Remus have that I don't. I mean, he always talks about how bad of person he is but he's literally perfect! He's smart and funny and ...no homo... good looking too!" James groaned.

Sirius laughed, "believe me...I know."
" What? " James scoffed.
"I-i..nothing anyways...don't compare yourself to him, he is amazing and perfect and anyone would be dumb to deny it but...you are too Jamie....and if Lily doesn't love you...that means you get to love yourself that little bit more!" He grinned.

" Yeah... " James paused before speaking again, " you talk about Remus a lot you know that. "

"I-i do? No I don't mate! We're friends of course I do!" Sirius laughed.

James laughed too, " just be careful people will start to think you like him! "

Sirius laughed even louder, "as if!"

The boys would never know how much it broke Remus' heart to listen to that conversation. He was so confused. One minute he's great then it would be a joke to date him! What did that even mean?!

He decided on the option he always chose: don't tell anyone. don't let anyone know you feel or hurt. it just destroys everyone around you.

And so he left the common room and made his way back where he came. Looks like the girls will be having a suprise.
