Reaching for Happiness

Chapter 8

I slowly opened my eyes as light poured into my living room. My head was resting on Aston's toned chest. He was gently stroking my hair. I smiled, and closed my eyes again. He started singing to himself quietly.

'When I see your face, there's not a thing that I would change, 'cause your amazing, just the way you are. And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while, 'cause girl your amazing, just the way you are' He placed a gentle kiss on the top of my head. A huge grin spread across my face.

'Chloe? Are you awake babe?' Aston whispered. I opened my eyes and looked up at him, still grinning. 'Did I wake you beautiful?'

'No, I was already awake. Do you want some breakfast?' I asked.

'Yes please' he smiled. I made us both some breakfast, and we sat down at the kitchen table to eat.

'Marv won't be worried will he? I mean, he won't know he stayed over.. You should call him' I said.

'Well, I kinda wanted to keep 'us' between us for a while, just in case things don't work out' Aston told me.

'Okay, that's fine. But what are you gonna tell Marv?'

'Well, he thinks I went to JJ's last night, so I'll just say we got drunk and I fell asleep'

'Okay' I smiled. We finished breakfast, and both got dressed. I headed off to work and Aston headed home. I had the usual day at work. 

I got home, and had a shower. I'd decided to have a party the following weekend, so I'd invited Jake, Joe, Hannah, Nikki and Faye from work. I also invited the JLS boys and a few other friends I knew. They had already all said they could come. I went to bed when it got a bit later, and noticed I had a text from Aston. 

[Night night baby:* Axxxxxx] I text him back.

[Sleep tight handsome!xxxxxx] I put my phone under my pillow and drifted off to sleep.
