Chapter 71

'Well, this is it' I smiled to Jaanvi as I pulled up outside the Doubletree hotel.

'Are you sure we had to come this early?' she yawned.

'Yep, we can't let them see us! Anyway, Marvin should be here in a couple of minutes' I announced, looking at my watch to see it was 02:58am.. He'd agreed to meet us at 3am, to avoid Aston or Oritsé seeing us.

'Okay' Jaanvi said, shuffling further down into her seat and closing her eyes.

'Don't get too comfy! We'll be going in soon' I giggled.

At 3:15am, Jaanvi was flat out, and there was no sign of Marvin. I sighed as I pulled my phone out of my back and dialed his number.

'Marvin, where the FUCK are you?!' I demanded down the phone, although speaking quietly, as I didn't want to wake Jaanvi up.

'Sorry babe, my alarm mustn't have woken me up.. I'll be down in five' he yawned before hanging up. I chucked my phone back in my bag and crossed my arms, definitely frustrated with him.

Within a few minutes, Marvin was jogging down the steps of the hotel to greet us.

'Thanks for being so reliable' I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes as I got out of the car and slammed the door shut behind me.

'Sorry babe' he chuckled, hugging me.

'Will you help me with the bags?' I asked, opening up my car boot.

'Sure! Woah, how much stuff did you bring?! You're only here for two nights! Marvin exclaimed.

'Marvin, we're girls.. We like to plan ahead for every possible outcome' I said proudly.

'Whatever.. Where's Jaanvi?' he asked.

'Car.. she's asleep' I giggled.

'Aaah, I see.. Want me to carry her up?' he offered.

'Nah.. I'll wake her up' I smiled, opening the door at her side.

'Okay' he smiled.

'Jaanvi.. Come on, time to wake up' I said quietly, shaking her gently.

'Move, let me carry her up, get the bags.. Or suitcases as they seem closer to.. And go and check in' Marvin said, gently pushing me aside and lifting Jaanvi out of the car. I closed my boot and grabbed our bags, dragging them up the stairs into the hotel.

'Room for 2 under Smith please' I smiled at the man on the desk.

'Chloe Smith? Staying one night?' he asked.

'Yes.. Well, I'm staying in another room with my boyfriend tomorrow night' I told him.

'Aaah, you're Mr. Merrygold's partner, aren't you?' he correctly assumed.

'Yeah' I confirmed.

'Well, have a great stay' he smiled warmly.

'I will thanks' I said, taking the room key from him and heading towards the lift to see Marvin waiting there with Jaanvi in his arms.

'What room are you in?' he asked, pressing the button to open the doors, and getting into the lift.

'Room 101.. On floor 4' I smiled.

'Okay.. We're on the top floor, floor 6.. Me and Nikki are in room 207, so if you need anything, come and find us' he smiled.

'Will do' I said, as we got out of the lift. 

We found our room and opened the door, Marvin following me inside..

'Well, this is alright init' I grinned, looking round. It had a lounge with a small bar, a large bathroom and a bedroom.. With one double bed. Looks like me and Jaanvi were sharing. Marvin flopped her down on the bed.

'Right, I best go back to bed then' he yawned.

'Okay.. see you when I see you' I smiled.

'Yeah.. Bye' he said, closing the door on his way out. I got ready for bed and slipped under the sheets, checking my phone before I went to sleep.. I had a new text from Aston, I must have missed it earlier.

[I can't sleep without you baby.. I'm missing you so much :'( I can't wait to see you in a few days! Axxxxx]

I sighed, knowing her was just meters away from me, and I couldn't be with him; I didn't text back, he'd want to know why I was up at this time. I just closed my eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.
