Not a request.

Invizableshadow = Shade, Master of Shadow x Paleman, Master of Light.

Takes place after Season 10.  Shade and Pale live together.

Kind of ties into my last one-shot of Jay x Ultra Violet.

3rd Person Point of View

Pale was trying to sleep.

Key word: Trying.

He was in his upstairs room in his and Shade's house.  It was a comfortable area.  2 upstairs bedrooms down the hall from each other with a bathroom close to the stairs.  The stairs go right to the door of the house, with a little area before it.  Shade was in the living room, which was the room next to the stairs.  The kitchen was right next to the living room, separated by a wall.  If Shade had more manners, he'd have just walked into the kitchen so Pale couldn't hear him so well.  But Pale had a feeling Shade wanted him to hear him yelling at someone.

Pale sighed and flung off the covers.  The only good thing was that it was relatively late in the morning, around 10, so he couldn't yell at Shade for waking him up too early.

He exited his room, which was at the end of the hall, and headed towards the stairs to find out why Shade was so pissed off.

"I don't care that it's our job as Elemental Masters!  You and your rainbow ponies were the ones to engage the Oni in the first place!  Pale and I aren't wasting our one day we have to study to help clean up your mess!  You heard me!  Not every Master just has all the time in the world!  Some of us need to focus on other things, like college, so we can get a job to pay our bills!  Unlike you and your backup who have everything already provided!  No, nothing can change my mind.  No, you can't talk to Pale; he's studying.  No, not listening!  Save it for the other Masters, I'm not hearing it! Buh-Bye~" Shade hung up the phone after he finished screaming at the person on the other end.  It wasn't until Shade whipped the phone into the wall and pulled out another phone did Pale realize Shade had been talking to the mysterious person using the communicator the Ninja gave him after the battle at the Corridor of Elders.

That would explain why Shade showed no remorse throwing it full force into the wall.

Shade collapsed onto the couch, Pale still watching from the stairs.  After a few seconds, Shade called, "I know your there, Pale.  You might as well come all the way down.  Actually, do you remember where our textbooks are?  I was too tired last night to remember where I threw mine," he sighed.  Pale chuckled.

"I put them on the kitchen table.  Seeing as your down there and I'm up here, you should get them," Pale laughed.  Shade's head snapped towards Pale, shock on his face.  The shock melted into a laugh once his gaze met Pale's sunglasses.

"Alright, smartass.  Then you can go upstairs to the storage closet and get the extra blankets, so we aren't uncomfortable studying for finals," Shade cheekily replied.  Pale sighed in a playful way before trudging back up the stairs and Shade disappeared into the kitchen to get their textbooks.

Once back in the living room, Pale and Shade moved the coffee table to the far wall and pushed the couch to the side of the stairs.  They set up a mini-blanket fort, Pale's idea, and stuffed it with the extra pillows.  They got comfortable, then opened the textbooks.

"So, do you think you'll pass your Criminal Justice exam?" Shade asked.  Pale sighed.

"No clue.  My professor lost valuable lesson time during the Age of Garmadon, when Emperor Garmadon was calling the shots.  It didn't help that we were thrown in prison, so we missed more stuff.  I've been trying to cram everything, but I'd be lucky to get a C on this.  My parents know why I'm not doing too good, but are willing to help.  What about you?"  Pale looked over at Shade, his face creasing into concern when he saw Shade's expression.  Though Shade couldn't see it.
