Fever = Neuro, Master of Mind X Kai, Master of Fire
Takes place after Season 9. 3rd Person P.O.V.

The Ninja had invited the Elemental Masters to a private celebration in their Monastery. Not to celebrate the defeat of Emperor Garmadon, which had been a couple months ago, but to thank the Elemental Masters for their aid in protecting Ninjago when the Ninja were unable to do so.
Neuro and Skylor were been the last to arrive. Mainly because Neuro hadn't wanted to go and had hoped that if he waited until the last minute, the other Masters would give up on him and go without him. It almost worked, but Skylor went to his apartment and had dragged him to the celebration. The only reason she gave for dragging him was because the Ninja wanted him there and she was certain Neuro would have fun if he gave it a chance.
Skylor happily rang the doorbell, keeping an iron grip on Neuro's wrist so he didn't get any funny ideas. Neuro was glaring at Skylor, trying to see if it was possible to kill someone with a glare.
One of the many reasons Neuro didn't want to go was because he hated large social gatherings. Another was he didn't feel like dealing with the other Masters shenanigans. And a third, major reason, was because he didn't trust himself being near the Master of Fire. Not because he hated him, but because he was in love with Kai and he has never been good at hiding romantic affections from the people he had a crush on.
Neuro made a pitiful attempt to pull away from Skylor, but she only tightened her grip on his wrist. He tried to pull away again, but the Monastery doors opened, revealing Cole.
"Hey, Skylor! Oh, and Neuro! Come on in!" Cole grinned, moving to the side to let them in. Skylor smiled and pulled Neuro inside. "We have plenty of refreshments and for those who want alcohol, we have a couple bottles in the kitchen. But you have to make sure to tell Zane your age. We don't want to get nailed for encouraging underage drinking," Cole explained, "We also have a few games--I think Jay, Lloyd, Turner, and Shade are having a Mario Kart competition in the lounge--but there are other things to do."
"Um, is there a quiet area where I can meditate?" Neuro asked hopefully. Cole gave him a disappointed look, but replied nonetheless.
"Yeah, the Indoor Training Area isn't being used and no one's in there. But, are you sure? I think there is something you might like," Cole replied, in hopes to convince Neuro to join the rest.
"Thank you, but I like the quiet," Neuro politely declined and quickly made his way to the Indoor Training Room. Having been to the Monastery before, at Lloyd's request, he knew where things were.
Opening the door to the room, Neuro froze. The one person he was hoping to avoid, Kai, was in the room. He was currently practicing what Neuro assumed to be different fighting techniques.
Oh, and Kai was shirtless.
Kai hadn't noticed Neuro's presence, and Neuro knew he should say something, but he was to busy staring at Kai and the Fire Master's well-defined muscles and reflexes. He opened his mouth to say something, but his mouth was dry and he closed it again. Neuro tried to speak again, but Kai had turned in Neuro's direction while practicing a some kind of kick maneuver. Kai jumped in surprise.
"Holy sh--Neuro! Don't scare me like that!" Kai gasped, putting a hand over his heart. He then narrowed his eyes at the Master of Mind. "Why you in here anyway? I thought you would of skipped out on the party and stayed home."
