"How many times do I have to say 'I'M SORRY'?!"
"This is payback for making me ride the roller coaster. You can say that you're sorry all you want, you're not getting out of this.
Neuro and Turner were currently on their way to an acupuncture appointment. Since Neuro hated roller coasters and Turner made him ride one, Neuro was making Turner do acupuncture with him, since Turner absolutely hated needles.
"We're here, 'Miss Sally's Acupuncture House'," Neuro cheered, dragging Turner inside.
Inside, the lobby was decorated with recliners and couches, all varying shades of blue. The lobby's floor was white carpet and the receptionist's desk was seven feet in front of the door. The receptionist looked bored.
"Excuse me, miss," Neuro said politely, "my boyfriend and I have a 3 o'clock appointment."
"Names, please?" she asked, absent-mindly typing on her computer.
"Neuro Pathis and Griffin Turner," Neuro replied, noticing in the corner of his eye Turner trying to free his wrist from Neuro's iron grip.
"Okay, you're checked in. Miss Sally will get you shortly," the receptionist sighed. Neuro thanked her and pulled Turner to one of the couches to the left of the reception desk.
Turner collapsed onto the couch as Neuro sat down next to him. "Please, can we not do this?" Turner begged his boyfriend.
"No, we're doing this. Did you know, acupuncture actually helps relieve stress and pain?" Neuro asked his boyfriend.
"How is it supposed to relieve my stress when needles stress me out?!" Turner shot back.
"Mr. Pathis and Mr. Turner? We're ready for you," a woman with blonde hair called from a door in the back of the lobby.
Smiling, Neuro pulled Turner up and dragged him to the room. The woman helped them get settled into lounge chairs and prepared the acupuncture kits.
"Hello, my name is Miss Sally. Have you done acupuncture before?" Miss Sally asked.
"No," Neuro and Turner simultaneously replied.
"Well, just so you know, it won't hurt you at all. You won't bleed, either. Acupuncture will help relax your muscles and relieve stress. You should also remove your socks and shoes," Miss Sally explained.
Turner could feel his heart begging to leave his body as he removed his socks and shoes. He never should of made Neuro ride the roller coaster, cause then he wouldn't be in this situation.
"You're going to feel a slight poke," Miss Sally warned Turner. He'd been so focused on controlling his fear that he hadn't realized it was his turn.
Miss Sally put a needle in Turner's forehead, then one on each side of his neck, one needle on each hand, followed by a needle in each heel of the foot.
"Typically we use at most 20 needles in a session, but since it is your first time, we'll stick with the seven needles for now," Miss Sally explained.
Turner looked over at Neuro. Neuro looked completely calm. Turner was barely able to restrain himself from using his powers to get out of there. The needles in his feet was good encouragement for him to stay put.
"How long do the needles stay in?" Turner croaked out. Miss Sally considered it.
"Well, a normal session lasts half an hour. It took 15 minutes to put the needles in and it's been 5 minutes since so, I'll remove them in about 10 minutes," she answered.
Ten minutes, I can do ten minutes, Turner thought, swallowing back a scream. He looked back over at Neuro. His fear was quickly replaced by annoyance when he noticed that Neuro was quietly laughing at Turner.
"It's not funny," Turner snapped at his boyfriend. Neuro grinned back at him.
"Yes, it is," Neuro cheekily replied, "Are you going to make me ride any rides I don't want to again?"
"No, I won't if this is what I have to do to make up for it!" Turner softly cried.
"Okay! Ten minutes is up!" Miss Sally announced. She began removing the needles from Turner first, as if she sensed Turner's discomfort.
Once she finished, Turner got up and bolted to the lobby, then out the doors, and all the way back to his and Neuro's shared apartment.
He collapsed onto the couch and flung a blanket over his head, trying to steady his rapidly pounding heart. He was shaking too, but he didn't care. He was just trying to get his fear under control.
Turner stayed like that until he heard the apartment door open and close. He felt the couch shift as someone sat down next to him.
"Miss Sally got a kick out of your reaction. Especially after I told her why we were there. She gave me a 10% discount for the laugh and for bragging rights to the other acupuncture businesses," he heard Neuro say.
"Bragging rights?" Turner found himself asking. Neuro chuckled.
"Apparently it's a big deal in Ninjago City for a business to brag that an Elemental Master goes there. She was asking me if it was okay to tell the other acupuncture businesses that the Masters of Mind and Speed trust her business more than the rest and hopefully pull in more business," Neuro explained, removing the blanket from Turner's head so he could stroke Turner's messy hair.
Turner sighed and closed his eyes. Neuro knew that by stroking his hair, it would calm him down. Turner knew Neuro was doing it on purpose, but he didn't care. he could already feel his heartbeat slowing down.
"I promise not to make you do it again, as long as you promise not to make me do things I don't like," Neuro murmured.
"Promise," Turner mumbled, exhaustion pulling eyes closed.
Neuro smiled at Turner's sleeping form. Shifting himself to where he was lying next to Turner, he snuggled himself against the Speed Master and fell asleep.
