Chapter 23

"Kwannie." Sehyoon smiled as his boyfriend huffed. They were currently on a video call and Sehyoon wouldn't stop saying how cute Kwan looked with pigtails.

"I know, I'm cute. Stop." Kwan hid from the camera, making Sehyoon laugh. Sehyoon knew he was hiding to hide the blush on his cheeks.

"Let me see you." Sehyoon cooed, looking towards where Kwan hid.

"Stop saying I'm cute and I will." Kwan huffed again.

"Fine, fine. I'll stop." Sehyoon laughed.

Kwan reappeared, having his face buried in his pillow and looking completely adorable. Even though his cheeks were covered, Sehyoon could see a little bit of his blush near his eyes and on his ears.

"You show up looking like that and expect me not to say anything." Sehyoon argued and laughed when Kwan's blush got darker.

"Shush." Kwan replied, burying his face even more into the pillow.

"Anyways, ready for tomorrow?" Sehyoon asked, smiling.

"Yes." Kwan smiled back, coming out of his hiding place. "I haven't seen you in a month, I miss you."

"Me too, baby." Sehyoon replied, laying back on his bed with an arm under his head and his other hand holding the phone. Kwan stared at him for a bit and his blush returned.

"You're too hot, no fair." Kwan mumbled under his breath, but Sehyoon heard him and smiled.

"Not as hot as you." Sehyoon chuckled.

"Stop it, Sehyoon!"

Sehyoon checked his phone when it rang, indicating a notification.

Kwannie❤️: where are you? :(

Sehni❤️: I'm running a bit late, I'm sorry :( I'll be there in a few minutes

Kwannie❤️: okay, be careful :(

Sehyoon got his keys and rushed into the car. He couldn't believe he fell asleep for three hours while watching a movie. He pulled out of the garage and rushed to where Kwan was waiting for him.

He heard his phone ring with notifications, but never checked them. He was driving, his focus was on the road and getting to Kwan as quickly as he could.

He was over the speed limit, but was following all traffic rules. If a cop were to catch him, he'd be in some trouble, though.

Everything happened in slow motion. The light turned green, Sehyoon stepped on the gas to turn when, out of nowhere, another car driving in his lane at full speed crashed into him.

It was a harsh blow. The airbags automatically came out. Sehyoon was crushed. He didn't even realized he had closed his eyes.

Once he opened them, he hissed in pain and panted. His head was pounding, his ears rang, his whole body ached and he couldn't move. He was completely crushed between the seat and the steering wheel, plus the airbag didn't let him breathe correctly.
