Kwannie❤️: you can come now :)
Sehni❤️: on my way :)
Kwan smiled at the message and did the finishing touches to his makeup. He was really looking forward to his picnic date with Sehyoon. He insisted on bringing something, but Sehyoon just told him to leave it all to him.
He got his shoes and made his way downstairs. He was planning on telling his mom when she came back from work since she left at around 5:00am.
He heard a knock on the door and smiled, going to open it quickly. He immediately clung onto Sehyoon, hugging him tight.
"Missed me that much?" Sehyoon laughed, hugging him back and kissing his head.
"Yes, I did." Kwan said shamelessly and kissed him on the lips.
"Cute." Sehyoon smiled. "Ready to go?"
Kwan nodded and they walked to Sehyoon's car. Sehyoon opened the door for him and a few minutes later, they were stopping by a park.
"A park?" Kwan asked curiously.
"You'll see." Sehyoon smiled and got out of the car. He opened the trunk and got out a backpack. Kwan looked at him questionably, but didn't ask anything.
Sehyoon walked ahead, passing the actual park.
"Sehni, where are we going?" Kwan asked, running towards him to catch up.
"Just trust me." Sehyoon replied and held Kwan's hand. Kwan hummed in response and held Sehyoon's hand back. They walked for about ten minutes before Sehyoon moved some bushes and let Kwan go first. Kwan was a bit hesitant at first, but he trusted Sehyoon. He walked in first and gasped at the sight before him.
It was some kind of secret garden with a small pond. The sun shined brightly, making the water sparkle and there was a picnic blanket already on the grass.
"Sehyoon..." Kwan was dumbfounded. It was truly beautiful.
"You like it?" Sehyoon smiled, wrapping an arm around Kwan's waist. Kwan turned to him and kissed him on the lips sweetly.
"I love it." He smiled once he pulled away. They sat down on the blanket and Sehyoon took out a lot of delicious food from the backpack he brought. There was sandwiches, fruit, drinks, desserts, everything.
"Did you make all this?" Kwan asked as he stared at all the food. He hadn't realized he was starving until now and was practically drooling.
"Yeah." Sehyoon replied with a smile. He took his phone out and played music before they both began to dig in.
They talked, laughed, even made out sometimes since no one could possibly find them. It was Sehyoon's secret place ever since he was around ten years old. He hadn't told anyone about it, not even Junhee.
It was truly wonderful. They watched the sunset and once it was over, Sehyoon took Kwan back home.
"Sehyoon, I loved today." Kwan smiled at him.
"I'm glad you did, Kwannie." Sehyoon smiled back.
"Thank you. I'll call you later." Kwan said before pecking Sehyoon's lips and getting out of the car.
He walked in, closing the door behind him and the sweet smell of homemade food hit his nose. His mom was home, it was time to tell her.
"Kwan, is that you?" He heard his mom yell from the kitchen. He took a deep breath before going to her.
"Yeah." He smiled.
"Hey, baby. Were you at Chan's?" She smiled, kissing his cheek when Kwan hugged her.
"Well, no." He replied.
"Oh?" She raised a brow. "Where have you been all day, then?"
"Well..." Kwan smiled nervously. "I... I was on a date."
"Another one? Look at my handsome man." His mom cooed, pinching his cheek.
"Mom." Kwan whined. "I was on a date with... my boyfriend." He explained. His mom stared at him for a while before smiling.
"I knew there was a reason to your bright smile." She laughed. "Who is it?"
"His name is Sehyoon." His mom nodded. "We've been going out for a few months."
"And now you tell me?" His mom pouted, making Kwan laugh.
"I didn't know how to talk to you about it." Kwan said.
"Why? You can tell me anything, baby. You know that, right?"
"I know, mom. It's just..." Kwan stopped himself. He knew his mom was going to ask now that he slightly slipped up.
"Just what? Is he a bad boy?" His mom asked worriedly.
"No, no. Well... he was a player." Kwan sighed, looking away from her.
"A player? Baby..." She furrowed her brows. "Players don't change overnight."
"I know, but he really likes me, I swear!" Kwan rushed. "I wouldn't have given him the chance if he didn't. He's really sweet with me and treats me really well."
"Well..." She trailed off. "I want to meet him. No one is going to mess around with my little boy."
"Mom." Kwan pouted. "I'm not little anymore."
"You'll always be my little boy. Even if you're eighty years old." She smiled.
Kwan smiled back and nodded. "Okay... when do I tell him to come over?" Kwan asked.
"How about next Friday? I get off work early and the three of us can have dinner." His mom suggested and Kwan nodded.
"Sounds great. You'll see he's really a good guy." Kwan said with confidence. He knew once his mom met Sehyoon, she'd accept him.
"I really hope he is."
