Chapter 25

Five months.

Seems like a "short" time, but to Kwan it was hell. Being in and out of the hospital every single day since the accident. He took the whole "in good and bad times" thing seriously.

After school, he would be at the hospital and during the whole weekend, he wouldn't leave Sehyoon's side. He didn't feel like giving up. He knew Sehyoon would wake up at any moment and he was not going to miss it.

It had been five months since he got crushed. Jun and Kwan have never left his side since. Chan and Donghun came from time to time to support Kwan. They were best friends after all.

"Through good and bad times."

Kwan was currently next to him, moving his hair out of his face. The bruises on his face and the cuts on his body had faded already. He was definitely skinnier, but just as handsome as he had always been.

"Hey, Sehni." He smiled slightly. "I'm back from school."

Of course, he wasn't expecting an answer. He never got one, but he knew one day he would reply. One day they would get back in track with their relationship. One day he would see his favorite smile again.

"You're here already?" Kwan turned to the door and smiled at Jun. They had gotten a bit closer over the time they've spent at the hospital with Sehyoon. Plus, even if this didn't happen, they would've needed to get along for Sehyoon.

"Told you I'd be here earlier than you." Kwan joked and Jun smiled, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Jun chuckled.
"Nothing?" He asked when he stood next to Kwan and looked at Sehyoon. It was so hard for both of them seeing him like this. They wanted him to wake up so badly and for him to be alive again. Him being in a coma was as if he was no longer with them.

"Nothing yet." Kwan sighed and held Sehyoon's hand gently. They both stared at him, hoping he would just open his eyes and say "funny prank, huh?" or something like that. They would probably be furious at him if it was a prank, but so happy if he opened his eyes already.

They knew it wasn't a prank, though. This was Sehyoon's actual state and there was still no sign of his waking up.

Or so they thought.

As they were talking, Kwan felt a slight grip on his hand. His eyes widened and looked at the hand that was holding Sehyoon's. He was gripping it.

"Jun..." Kwan trailed off. He couldn't get the words out.

"What's wrong?" Jun asked quickly and looked at their hands, his eyes widening too. "I'll get the doctor." He said before rushing out of the room.

"Sehni, are you awake? Please, open your eyes..." Kwan started. "Come on, I know you can hear me. I know you're strong. Please, wake up."

Sehyoon's face scrunched up a bit and Kwan gasped when he opened his eyes. He didn't know what to say or do. He just froze as Sehyoon gripped his hand real tight. He was brought back to reality when the doctor and nurses flooded the room. They told him to wait outside while they checked everything was okay.

"He woke up..." Kwan said under his breath, still in shock.

"Told you he would." Jun smiled. He had known Sehyoon longer than Kwan, so he knew just how strong he was. He wouldn't give up that easily.

A few minutes later, the doctor came out and they were allowed to go in. Kwan rushed in first and saw the nurses making their way out after checking the last little things. He didn't even notice Jun wasn't behind him.

Sehyoon had his eyes opened and was sitting up. The expression on his face seemed off, though. He was looking around, maybe looking for something? That's what it looked like at least.

"Kwan, can I talk to you for a moment?" Jun asked as he stepped into the room. His tone was off as well, but Kwan didn't think much of it. He was focused on Sehyoon right now.

"Can it wait? I need to talk to him." Kwan smiled brightly before going to Sehyoon.

"Kwan-" Jun tried to stop him, but Kwan didn't listen.

"Sehni..." Kwan smiled when Sehyoon looked at him. "Sehni, I'm so glad you're okay."

Sehyoon stared at Kwan, not replying. Why wasn't he replying?

"How are you feeling?" Kwan asked and reached for Sehyoon's hand. He was taken aback when Sehyoon moved it so he couldn't grab it. What was going on?

"Who... who are you?"

Sorry I disappeared again :( I'm really sick and had lost a bit of motivation, but I'm back :)

Also, the story is ending soon :( I'm actually sad about it because I've loved writing it so much, but good things always come to an end, right?
