Chapter 19

Kwan and Sehyoon have been inseparable since their date. They hung out often, ate lunch together with Donghun and Chan and were all the school was talking about.

They were currently in the line for lunch. Sehyoon was holding Kwan's hand as they moved and got their food. They often heard whispers about them (since Sehyoon still had his player reputation), but they ignored each one. Kwan had noticed something in Sehyoon, though. Every time they heard a comment, Sehyoon bit his lip. Depending on how harsh it was, that's how harsh he would go. It got Kwan thinking, but didn't want to ask him about it just yet.

They got all their food and went to sit at Kwan's usual table. Donghun and Chan were already there and were talking to each other.

"Hey, guys." Kwan greeted, smiling as he sat down with Sehyoon.

"Hey, you two." Chan smiled back at the both of them. They, then, started talking as they ate. Sehyoon stayed quiet most of the time since he didn't know Donghun and Chan that well. He didn't want to say anything to make them uncomfortable.

"Hey, Sehyoon." Jongin greeted and patted Sehyoon's back. He was one of Sehyoon's buddies at the player table.

"Oh, hey, Jongin." Sehyoon replied, chewing in his lip slightly. Kwan noticed again and paid close attention to their conversation.

"How's it going?" Jongin asked. Sehyoon knew he meant how was it going with Byeongkwan... aka, if they had sex yet.

"Uh, good." Sehyoon replied, and bit his lip harder. Kwan immediately noticed he was getting uncomfortable and stepped in to help.

"Hey, Sehni, can I talk to you for a moment alone?" Kwan asked, hugging Sehyoon's arm. Sehyoon just nodded and they both got up, walking out of the cafeteria. They stopped right outside and Sehyoon let out a deep sigh.

"What was that all about?" Kwan asked, reaching up to caress Sehyoon's cheek gently.

"What was what?" Sehyoon asked, making Kwan frown. He sighed. "He was asking if we had sex yet." He finally let out.

"Why are they teasing you like this? It's been non-stop since you started hanging out with me more and don't think I didn't notice them whistling at you at the line." Kwan said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Are you playing with me?"

"No!" Sehyoon quickly replied. "Kwannie, no, I'm not playing with you. It's just... they've never seen me spend so much time with someone..." Sehyoon said, scratching the back of his neck.

"Because of your player reputation?" Sehyoon nodded. Kwan looked away slightly and Sehyoon quickly grabbed his hands. "Listen, I'm really not playing with you. They're just being assholes because..." He trailed off.

"Because? Sehyoon, just tell me the truth. Also, I noticed you biting your lip a lot. What's that about? It's almost bitten raw by now." Kwan didn't mean to sound rude, but he was worried about him and he was still a bit scared about what Sehyoon truly wanted with him.

"Okay... I'll tell you everything." Sehyoon sighed. Kwan nodded and held Sehyoon's hand reassuringly.

"I'm listening." Sehyoon sighed deeply once more before starting.

"The lip biting thing is a habit of mine when I'm nervous. They are teasing me a lot because they know why I'm a player and I told them I would never fall for anyone again." Sehyoon said. Kwan nodded, showing him he had his full attention. "I used to have a boyfriend in ninth grade. It was a secret relationship since we both were in the closet... Uhm, his parents found out about us, didn't accept him and he just broke up with me. I found that out later because when he actually broke up with me, he just said he didn't want me anymore. I was really heartbroken so I became a player... I know it sounds stupid, but he was my very first boyfriend and the fact that he just left me out of nowhere kind of traumatized me, I guess? So, that's why I'm a player and that's why they've been teasing me so much with you." Sehyoon looked down when he finished, not able to look at Kwan. He felt dumb, even if he knew he wasn't.

Kwan lifted his chin, making Sehyoon look at him.

"That's not going to happen again." Kwan said, staring directly into Sehyoon's eyes. "I don't know who the guy was, but he's clearly missing out on the great guy you are. You are not dumb, you just got heartbroken and didn't know how to react. I won't do that to you, Sehni. I can assure you that." Kwan said, hugging him tightly. Sehyoon wrapped his arms around him instantly, hugging back just as tight.

"Thank you, Kwannie..." He whispered and Kwan smiled.

"You don't have to thank me, Sehni. Now, tell your friends to leave you alone." Kwan said firmly, stomping his foot in the cutest way possible and making Sehyoon smile.

"I will." He replied, chuckling slightly and placed a small kiss on his lips. "Also, the guy was Daniel. Park Jisoo's boyfriend." Sehyoon said before walking back in the cafeteria.

"What?" Kwan's eyes widened and followed him quickly. "Woah, woah, woah. What do you mean he's gay?"

"Bisexual." Sehyoon corrected. "And yeah, it was him, but I don't care anymore. I got an upgrade." He smiled, making Kwan blush.

"Oh, shut up." Kwan said, hiding his smile.
