Summary: It was hard at first, but Sakura's got it.
First time Auntie Akira saw Akinori she was instantly in love.
Who wouldn't with that adorable flushed skin, chubby cheecks and cute poker face?
Next she was raging so hard that the whole Fire Shrine shook.
Then she calmed down and started to play and cuddle with her Grand Nephew while still cursing her no good rascal of a nephew.
Sadly, she couldn't take care of him as her duties were nipping at her heels and she couldn't ignore them.
Thanksfuly the storage scroll that came with Xiao Jiu had enough resources to last for a year.
Clothes, food, necessities.
When Sakura and her nephew (son) were about to leave Akira promised to go to the academic and give her niece week off, which was a relief to Sakura.
She wanted to get to know to her Nephew (Son).
She did just that.
It was hard at first, but Sakura's got it.
Akinori was a adorable and most loveable child anyone could have.
He didn't cry a lot (if ever, which was worrying, if she ever got her hands on her brother she's would skin him for his neglect), unless he needed to eat and even at his young age he was potty trained.
Or it might just be Shen Jiu's pride refusing to wear the nappies.
Can you imagine just how embarrassing that would be?
Currently they were sitting in Sakura's bedroom.
They floor was covered in blankets as it made the nest with Sakura sitting in the center in a lotus position and Akinori sitting her lap.
Sakura was wearing her grey sweatpants, white ankle socks and plaster pink sweatshirt with her namesake colored hair up in the messy bun and silver lined glasses perched on her nose.
Hey, just because she decided to take on the road of the Shinobi it doesn't means that she should sacrifice her interests.
Priorities first ladies!
She was a girl dammit! If she wanted to wear the pink so would she. No one else had say into it, because she wasn't about to bend her back at others will.
They can shove their opinions up in their asses.
Akinori was wearing the cute fluffy panda onesie and white socks. He was currently playing with the shining solid gold and ruby ball that Sakura's parents had gotten from God knows where for her 10th birthday along with other exaggerating objects that would make everyone's insides green with envy.
He was sure that if his Auntie was to sell it she would be rich for the rest of her life.
Well good thing that she didn't because both Sakura and Shen Jiu/Akinori loved beautiful things, especially ones that shines as brightly as this one.
Blame it on his baby instincts.
This was his now.
Aunt and Nephew (Son) duo were reading the 'Nth book about how to raise a child that they had borrowed from the library.
Akiko-san, the librarian had looked at Sakura with the critical eye, wondering why her favorite costumer wanted all those books, before she was filled in with Sakura's current situation and had taken the pity with the young pinkette.
She gave her some extra books and the free pass to have them as long as she needed and as long as they were returned without any damage.
Sakura thought that she was on the ninth sky as she repeatedly thanked the woman, before she sealed away the books in her scroll and walked back to her aunts shine to collect her baby nephew to get back to her own home.
They didn't needed to worry about the food for Sakura as one of the shrine workers always dropped in to check on her supplies and restock them for Sakura. Not to mention she had dropped her god awful diet and started to actually eat properly.
Akinori was baffled to why she would do something like that, to reject healthy fresh food when she had abundance of it, but from Sakura's angry mumbles and grunts he managed to piece it together.
Turns out that it had something to do with the silly rivalry with that Pig (and why would Oba-chan have a rivalry with a pig?) over a silly crush that Sakura didn't even liked.
Through Sakura had decided to pretend that she did to make the Pig's life as miserable and frustrated as it had done to her whey it broke up their friendship for an idiotic misunderstanding.
Nevertheless to say Akinori was so proud of her Oba-chan for her sly pettiness and angry at the same time for what she had done to her own body with that diet.
Also secretly he was relieved that in the future he hadn't had any poor bastard to make life miserable of.
Not that he would ever admit it.
Nope not at all
All in all everything was going ok and all they needed to do was to take Baby Steps and then everything would flow perfectly for them.
They had each other now and that was all they need.
Sakura sighed, feeling somewhat happy and satisfied as she tugged Akinori closer and hugged him to her chest with her right hand as she held scroll about baby foods in her left one.
She rested her head on his soft onesie hoodie and blinked behind her silver glasses as she helt her baby nephew (slash son) to wiggle his tiny body around until he faced her and snuggled his cute face up to her neck, one hand fisting her shirt in it while other was clutching his precious shiny ball tightly to his heart.
From his soft and slow pace of breathing, it seemed like he was falling asleep and rather fastly too.
Sakura smiled softly and put her book down on the floor along with her reading glasses and stood up to get Akinori to the bed.
But little reincarnation wasn't about to let his auntie go. Even in his sleep he felt that someone was trying to take him away from her, so he tightened his hold on her shirt.
His young face screwed up cutely as he frowned and scowled at whatever was trying to take auntie away from him.
Sakita looked at his pouting face and couldn't help a small giggle to escape her, as she gave in and layed down next to him, hugging him to her chest again as she pulled thin (yet warm) weighted blanket over them.
Now thinking about it, she did feel tired, so this might not be such a bad idea.
It also seemed to satisfy sleeping infant as he had stopped scowling (pouting) and now had satisfied, smug little smile and was cuddling up to her.
Sakira looked at his peaceful face sleepily and thought that yes.
They had each other now and that was all they needed.
