Breath in
Breath out tris I remind myself

I try to focus on my breathing that is coming out fast and quick and the more I think about going home my stomach feels like I have a wide pit

Oh god. I find myself standing outside my house and my heart is beating rapidly
'Lets get this over with' I thought

I open the door and before I can lift off my coat I'm being slapped into the door
"WHERE WERE YOU??" Four screams
I don't answer
I don't have an answer

He adds pressure to my chin and I wince
"ANSWER ME!" He screams angrily
"I-I w-w-was"
Before I can finish stuttering four slaps in the face.

"Uh" I breath a little

"Wait her U slut" he whispers
I'm biting my lip to keep from bursting into tears
My last punishment was awful and my body was not healing quickly and was still red and sacred

He comes back with a ...spoon ?
He lifts my head and allows me too look at his eyes
His cold hard eyes

He takes the wooden spoon and starts smacking my face
Hard with full force
"AHHH!" instantly make my hand travel to my throbbing face

"For now on if I see u not home u will be in deep sh*t" he threatens
Then he takes one finally blow
"Y-yes I understand " I sob "p-please s-s-stop"
He smirks and leaves the room
I get up from my painful state and check the damage on my face

I looked up at myself and my cheek had an enormous scar skin That I won't likely be able to cover completely with Make up

I sigh I have to escape hell
"TRIS COME OVER HERE! " he screams

I rapidly speed up and meet him downstairs
"U r allowed to eat" he says as if it's a gift he's granting me and not a necessary part of life

"T-thank U" I whisper
I got my portion of pasta and was about to start eating when suddenly he took the plate out of my hands

"A-A-aH" he says "only humans can eat like that...for garbage like U..U eat on the floor where U belong U little scum" he smirks

My self pride or my hunger? I thought and then I choose my self pride

I got up and went to my room and slept to the growling sounds of my poor empty stomachs

NEXT DAY😏

I wake up extra early to make breakfast for four so I can eat all I want after he leaves and still be able to meet Christina

I can see the he enjoys my food but doesn't say anything but I don't care
He goes out and I'm stuck cleaning the kitchen

After he left i mustered the courage to go outside and meet her and to make sure last night events won't happen again ..

'Ding dong'
I'm waiting
And then the door opens showing Will

"oh my god! WILL! I missed U!" I shriek ready for an embrace
"T-tris" he stutters

"Yes it me!" I scream happily
"I missed U so much" he says smiling

"Oh hey tris" welcomes Christina
"Hey!"

Being with people who I care about gives me a feeling of happiness

I see that Christina is eyeing Will and his face Instantly falls
"I-I-I will see U later" he says quietly and leaves

"Oh god tris" Christina mutters
"What is it?" I says curiously
"I can't tell u" she replies
"I Have the right to know Christina ! " I suddenly erupt " U leave me for years and I finally find U ! Tell me !" By now I was desperate

"Okay" she replies
"Tris" she says "im sorry"
My face falls

"C-Caleb" she sighs

"He's ...dead"
