Millie's POV

I got home from my first day of detention and put my bag in my room before going to the kitchen to grab a bite. "So young lady, I received a very interesting call from Principal Harhour this morning. Anything you want to share?" My dad folded his arms. Well shit, I'm so losing my phone privileges.

"I got detention dad. It's no big deal." I glanced out the window. "Detention!!!! For how long?" I didn't answer. "For how long Millie!?" He raised his voice this time. "A month." I whispered. He just stared at me without saying a word. He held his hand out to me and I knew exactly what he wanted.

I took out my phone and gave it to him. "Thank you for your co-operation sweetheart." He kissed my cheek and walked to the fridge. I did not expect that at all. "That's it? No grounding, no staying in the house, nothing?" I asked anxiously. "Nope." Was all he said  "Dad, are you ok?" I laughed nervously.

"I'm fine sweetheart, I'm going to the station for a while. You want me to get you anything for dinner?" He inquired waiting by the door. I nodded my head before he left. What the hell just happened?

2 Weeks Later
Thursday 17:00
Finn's House
Finn's POV

I was playing video games with Caleb and Gaten. Noah was out with the girls and I was winning in Call of Duty like I always do.

"Haha, Finn's eliminated." Gaten acknowledged. Ok well I lied, I wasn't winning at all. "I just got a message from Sadie, she wants us to meet her at the foodcourt." Caleb read out while setting his controller on the bed. "Are you guys seriously leaving?" I asked suprised. "Well yeah. Come on dude we can finish off our game tonight." Gaten assured.

"I have plans tonight. Maybe next time." I tell them. Gaten and Caleb eventually leave my room to go to the mall. I can't believe they blew me off for those girls, but nothing else is new. Maybe I should hang out with them. They seem cool. They really do. I just can't afford to see her.

To see Millie Bobby Brown again would be devastating. Even talking to her would produce catastrophic events. Am I over exaggerating this situation? Is she really that bad? I remember a feint distant memory of a time when I was at my happiest around her. Damn, things have changed.

"Finnlard, can we talk?" Gaten knocked on my door. "I thought you left." I said as I paused my game. It's not like I was concentrating in the first place. "No not yet. Look man it's about Millie." He walked in and shut the door. "What about her?" I flumped down on my bed.

"Nothing much. I was just thinking maybe you should pay her a visit whenever her dad's not home. It would only make sense cause we want everyone to get along, since we all one big happy family now." He smiled. "And you're telling me this because?" I just wanted him to get straight to the point. "Millie's awesome. She's a very nice person, I don't know what's your problem with her." He sat down next to me.

"It's personal." I said. He pats me on my back and grins with pure evilness emitting from his eyes. Something tells me, I'm not about to enjoy what he says next. "You owe me a solid." He winks. I didn't respond at all. I wish he didn't use that on me.

"That's right Finn Wolfhard, you owe me a solid. Remember that solid I did for you when I got you out of trouble with Captain Brown. That's right. You were in trouble with Millie's dad and I bailed you out." He smirked. "Ok fine. I promise I'll talk to Millie." I groaned. He got up and left my room. That was weird but normal considering the fact that it's Gaten.

I'll admit, I'm very nervous. I last spoke to Millie years ago. Like a proper conversation, excluding the time I ignored her two weeks back. Maybe I should just let go of the past. Despite what she did to me, it wasn't her intention. Yeah, that could work. As long as I don't get too attached again, I'll be just fine.

I'll go see her. Well not right now because her dad is probably home and I know he doesn't like me. It's a very long story which I'll explain when the time is right. He might not be there tonight. So I'll go visit her then. Man, I never saw myself going to Millie's house ever again, it feels super weird but I don't know why this whole plan excites me.
