Blaine was on his way home. He wasn't sure if Kurt was already there or not, or what was happening, did Kurt still remember where he lived, it had been years since Kurt went to Blaine's.
Blaine's questions were answered though when he saw a figure sitting on this doorway step as he pulled into the driveway. Blaine got out of his car and smiled at Kurt.
"Hey, wasn't sure if you remembered where my house was." Blaine said. Kurt stood up and shrugged at him.
"You have a very distinct house, it stands out." Kurt said. It was true, Blaine's rich and big house did stand out next to all the average houses that his friends owned, the Anderson's were quite wealthy. Blaine walked up to the front door and unlocked it, letting both boys in. Both boys took of their shoes and jackets.
"Do you want something to drink?" Blaine asked.
"I'll just have a water." Kurt replied. Blaine smiled, and began to walk to the kitchen, but turned back around to look at Kurt.
"You can just head up to my bedroom, that's if you know where it is." Blaine said. Kurt nodded and headed up the staircase. Blaine smiled, at least Kurt wasn't dismissing their past friendship and pretending to forget where Blaine's house and bedroom was.
Blaine got them both a glass of water and walked up to his bedroom, he opened the door and saw Kurt staring at something. Blaine put the glasses down and walked over to Kurt.
"Whatcha looking at?" Blaine asked. Kurt cleared his throat and stepped back.
Uh... nothing, let's just get on with the English work." Kurt said, moving to sit on the bed. Blaine looked at that Kurt was fixed on moments ago, and froze. It was a photo of Kurt and Blaine, lying next to each other in a field.
"Were you staring at the photo of us?" Blaine asked. Kurt looked down avoiding eye contact.
"Why do you still have it? I mean, you still have it on display?" Kurt asked, not angrily, just confused. Blaine looked at him and smile sadly.
"Because, once upon a time I had a best friend called Kurt Hummel. Me and him were inseparable, I even used to image a future with him. But then Kurt changed, and he acted like our friendship never happened. I don't like the new Kurt very much, but I still miss the old Kurt, and I know that if I try hard enough, I'll get my old friend back." Blaine said. He wasn't sure if he was overstepping, or how Kurt would react. Blaine looked at Kurt, only to see him staring down at the bed.
"Can we just hurry up and do this stupid English work." Kurt said. Blaine sighed and nodded. He went over to his bag and pulled out his notebook and turned to the right page before handing it to Kurt. Kurt took the book and got out his own notebook.
"Just copy that down then we can see if you need help with anything." Blaine said. Kurt nodded then began to copy the notes. Blaine sat back on his bed. The room was silent, other than the scratching of Kurt's pen.
"Where's your mom and dad?" Kurt asked. Blaine sat up, making sure that Kurt actually said something.
"They're away for a getaway week. Something about them needing a week together alone." Blaine replied. Kurt snorted. Blaine looked at him confused.
"What?" Blaine asked. Kurt looked at him, raising one eyebrow.
"You really believe that they just needed a week to each other, to be a happy and wholesome couple. They just wanted a week away so they could have sex." Kurt said. Blaine's eyes went wide, and he almost spat out his drink.
